Honest review from a 2.5 year resident
May 6, 2025It’s a pity to see how this apartment complex is circling the drain in the five years it’s been open. It has truly fallen by the wayside. From the poor maintenance of the complex, the lack of decorum in the residents, the rise in vehicle break in’s and parking lot loiters, and the failure to penalize residents who OPENLY smoke marijuana on their patios and inside their apartments, it’s a shame. there are bird droppings all over the stairways and unless a maintenance request is submitted so it ...can be cleaned up, it’s never attended to. It’s embarrassing and frustrating to walk up the stairs to my apartment in the evening and see bird droppings, cob webs, deceased bugs, and overall filth on the exterior of the building. The paint on the exterior of the buildings along with the doors is faded and is in dire need of a touch up. It’s even more embarrassing when you have guests visiting you. People drive through the parking lot at reckless speeds, i’ve been in several near miss accidents entering and exiting the complex due to people’s erratic driving. The gates are broken at least 50% of the time so the complex is easily accessible to non-residents which compromises the overall safety of vehicles and the mail room. My packages have been stolen from the mail room several times, it’s to the point where I refuse to ship stuff to my apartment because there’s no guarantee that I will receive my shipment and the leasing office seems uninterested in finding ways to better secure the mail room. No key or fingerprint is required to enter, the locker system that delivery services (UPS, FedEx, etc) use to store packages is broken quite often which results in packages being left on the floor of the mailroom with ZERO security. It’s been astounding to see the steep decline in upkeep, safety, and regard that both residents and the leasing office have for this community. I wish I could recommend a better complex to move to, but sadly it appears that this is the norm for most complexes in the region. Rent is too expensive to be subject to the utter disregard that has become second nature in this community.Property Manager Responded

March 27, 2024I have resided at legacy for almost 2 years and will be renewing for a 3rd. The entire staff is always so kind and have always taken care of any needs promptly. I feel safe and the apartments themselves are well maintained. Other residents are so kind and also do their part in taking care of our small community. I have only ever had positive things to say which is why I have no plans of leaving any time soon. Couldn’t recommend enough!Property Manager Responded

February 7, 2023AMAZING !!!! What an amazing group of ladies to work with!!!! The leasing managers are pleasant and very professional!! The property is always well kept!! The amenities are nice and up to date!!! love the walking path, lake, pool, fitness area, pool room etc!! This is a 5 star property and they have raised the bar high in ascension parish. mins away from everything. close enough to the interstate to get to Baton Rouge or New Orleans. If your in the market for a good quality apartment, Legacy 2020 ...is always my first pick, and trust me I’ve dealt with a lot of properties you can’t go wrong with Legacy 2020!!!!Property Manager Responded

A great place to live
November 20, 2022I have never in my life enjoyed where I stayed as much as I do here! The staff is so kind and helpful! They have handled any issue that I have ever had in timely manner . The apartment homes are gorgeous and it’s pretty quiet over here. A + Living Experience
October 17, 2022I rarely leave a review but I absolutely must! My overall experience living here was nothing less than excellent. My apartment living was one of comfort and ease. I am so grateful that I made the decision to reside at this complex out of all the others. Each day that I walked the property with my pet, every amenity was accessible. It almost felt like I was on vacation being away from home for an extended work project. The team of Representatives (Lauren, Victoria, Leann, Mikah, Lionel and ...Carlton) were extremely knowledgeable, professional and attentive. They made me feel so welcome and provided an immediate response to any questions, needs or concerns I had. They provided updates of apartment events, important maintenance scheduling and worked to maintain a safe environment and living experience around the clock. When I return here for work in the near future, this is where I will stay. I highly recommend this apartment community. His response time, hard work and dedication is impeccable. Him and his helper always jumps to help anyone in need, just recent watch these guys help someone move in the rain!!
