Water Still Leaking Into Bedroom—No Real Fix Provided
July 4, 2025 - Review from Apartments.comI have been living at Atwater at Westchase for over 8 years, and until recently, I was generally satisfied. However, for the past year and a half, I’ve been dealing with a persistent problem that still hasn’t been properly resolved—despite multiple maintenance requests and complaints. Every time it rains, water enters my apartment through the bedroom. One of the main issues is that the garden soil, located directly in front of the bedroom window, is actually higher than the apartment floor. This ...allows water to flow directly toward and into the unit. On top of that, the gutter system is not functioning properly—it overflows during rainfall and sends large amounts of water pouring down like a waterfall in front of the window, across the porch, and over the stairs. Maintenance has attempted to fix the problem several times, but none of the efforts have addressed the real causes. They replaced the windows and poured cement near the window, but they never lowered the soil level or repaired the gutter system. As a result, water continues to get inside. While the problem has been slightly reduced, it’s still unacceptable. At one point, water was even leaking through an electrical outlet. More recently, when the apartment above mine was being renovated, the painter mentioned that the wall near the window was soaked and the wood and sheetrock had to be replaced due to water damage. This suggests the issue goes beyond my unit and may be related to the roof or gutter system. Management has been aware of this for well over a year and a half, but unfortunately, a lasting solution still hasn’t been implemented. As someone who has lived here for 8 years, I find this very disappointing. I hope the owner of this condominium becomes aware of the situation, because I doubt they would approve of how it’s being handled. The apartments have gone through a lot of change in the last few years and it's only for the better. I used to live in one the apartments that was old and then moved to one that has the new appliances, nice cabinets, and counters, the new one is so much better. The people that work in the office have been very helpful anytime I needed them. The latest manager, Darcie really cares about the property and it shows when ...you talk to her. The guys that fix things have been always nice and prompt. If someone has issues like they put on here I don't think they are trying to talk to the office because I haven't had any of those problems. Living nightmare
May 1, 2022 - Review from Apartments.comThis complex has truly been a living nightmare for me. I’ll try to keep this post short, but everything that could have possibly gone wrong, has. First I got the good old bait and switch getting a truly disgusting roach infested apartment that was literally falling apart (I’m talking cabinets and drawers falling off and chewed on, freezer door that would just fall off, closet doors that wouldn’t open, the list goes on). After a month I was able to move to a different apartment (at no discount of ...course). None of the outlets in the kitchen work, apartment flooded and damage was never taken care of, there’s mold, and now they are raising the rent $400 a month. I could continue to go on about all of the problems I had here that made the past year of my life an actual nightmare. When I emailed the property manager before moving out to discuss my concerns and how disappointed I was, all I got in return was a “sorry, we hope your next experience with us is better”. I see some people commenting about how great the new management is. Don’t fall for this. There has been 4 property managers in the past year and every single one has been a disappointment.Please, do yourself a favor and do not move here, I don’t want anyone else to have the horrible experience that I’ve had.Read MoreProperty Manager Responded

August 9, 2021 - Review from Apartments.comCreo que si pudiera dar menos de una estrella de calificación la daria y espero que vean porque . Desde que entre en 2019 a este complejo de apartamentos encontre el apartamento en el que me mude mucho menos a la mitad de arreglado y limpio de lo que se puede hacer para recibir a nuevos inquilinos, las paredes sucias con manchas de grasa y rallones , tupicion en todos los sistemas de desagüe, la carpeta sucia y sin los cintillos de las puntas , las esquinas de las pardes sueltas incluso la de la ...entrada al apartamento me callo encima una vez . Las puertas con las cerraduras rotas las mallas protectoras de insectos rotas y en algunas ventanas ni ay , la nevera y la estufa dañada , los muebles de la cocina ninguno sirve de lo antiguo que esta la madera y desgastada, entre muchas cosas mas . Lo peor de todo esto es que yo principalmente me e estado quejando todos estos años por que almenos arreglen algo o den un mantenimiento al apartamento y nada de nada se a tomado en medida para que uno como inquilino esté contento y agradecido de vivir aca por eso no recomiendo a nadie que entre a vivir aca mientras la administración del complejo cambie totalmente ya que en el tiempo que vivo aca también han cambiado a los gerentes unas 4 veces y aun nada mejora solamente trabaja bien las 2 personas que estan frente a la oficina atendiendo a todo el que entra a quejarse de estos problemas y que no solo yo sino muchos de los que vivimos aca nuevos y viejos padamos por todo esto . Algo mas que destacar las puertas de entrada nunca funcionan y desde el covid han dicho que las piscinas estan cerradas por la pandemia luego por mantenimiento y es la fecha que apenas una abrio pero la otra no ni el gimnasio , osea cobran la recreación pero ni funciona al 100% .
