Unhealthy Living Situation
October 9, 2025Do not move into this complex. Our apartment was filled with smoke residue and likely mold from day one. We smelled it immediately upon moving in, but assumed it would fade with candles and open windows — it didn’t. The smoke was deep in the walls, floors, and vents. We found black and gray residue on our dishes, our AT&T router, and even in our noses and mucus. It ruined our mattress, which we had to throw away because of the black residue embedded in the stitching. After getting sick within the ...first week, we asked management for help. They admitted the problem but only offered to move us into a more expensive unit — promising to “work with us on the price,” which they never did. They refused to cover any hotel stay or moving costs, leaving us no choice but to move out completely. Now they’re trying to charge us for ending the lease early, even though the apartment was clearly unsafe and unlivable. To make matters worse, the walls and floors are paper thin. Our downstairs neighbor complained the very first night — simply because we were walking around between 10–11 p.m. You can hear everything through the walls. The only reason this place has one star is because it has a roof and walls— though it’s smoke-filled and barely blocks sound. Save yourself the money, health issues, and frustration. Robert, in maintenance, always completes my work order quickly and with a smile on his face. I love that he carries bones for my dog. don’t move here if you like quiet.
December 22, 2022I moved here from another state and didn’t get to tour the property. What they didn’t disclose to me is that the apartment building is right next to the train tracks. The freight train comes through multiple times a day and night. The property my NEVER disclosed this to me and when I asked them about it they said “they’ve never heard it”. As well as this the building walls are very thin. My upstairs neighbor is running a dog boarding business out of her apartment which the leasing agency fails to ...care about. There are about 3-5 dogs rotating out of her apartment everyday. The noise is insane. Also every dog on this property is reactive. I almost got bit by one of my neighbors “friendly dogs” please. For the money you pay here go else where!!!!!Property Manager Responded

November 9, 2021As with most apartments, there will always be issues and nothing is perfect. When something does go wrong, the staff at Vale is always accommodating. As a resident, it can be frustrating to deal with loud neighbors, fire alarms going off, etc but the staff always makes sure that they provide timely communication.
