March 31, 2026 - Review from Apartments.comwas very pleased with the property prior to the new management. Fortunately, most of the maintenance team is still here, and even though there are fewer of them, they continue to respond and take care of issues both big and small. While response times have changed due to the smaller team, they still work hard and try to resolve things as quickly as possible. The new management initially seemed promising, but it has changed the overall vibe of the community, making it feel colder and more ...restrictive. Before, even without a full clubhouse, the atmosphere felt inviting—staff were welcoming, light music played in the background, the management office was always open and engaging, and residents felt genuinely welcomed. Chloe has been an excellent addition to the administrative team, and I hope she stays. However, the community overall does not seem as clean or as engaging as it once was. Nice clubhouse, pool and gym amenities. Decent living space relative rates for living in the triangle. Close to many attractions and convivences. Responsive maintenance and quiet for the most part. December 1, 2021 - Review from Apartments.comThe maintenance is the absolute worst in the world. DO NOT trust them to do even the simplest jobs. This is the same idiot group that spray painted over rust in a sink, I guess forgetting running water went through there. Through a sink. Yea. Let that sink in. The changes and renovations they claim? It’s an actual lie: this went towards painting the exteriors and updating their office space. They took out a basketball and tennis court in favor of a tacky outdoor area where they spam you with ...emails to come to crappy events hosted by the bored owners. You do not get what you pay for at all. The interiors are older and have no ventilation system for the bathrooms or washing/drying machines. I have a huge file of complaints and pictures which are all being filtered through my lawyer as we have identified a number of contract breaches and will be recouping the money. November 9, 2021 - Review from Apartments.comSince Knightvest Residential took over in September 25, 2020. There have been many improvements in the quality of community living. The outside of the building have been power washed and painted. There have been a complete renovation of the community clubhouse. With the addition of a complete workout area. The whole place has been spiffed up to reflect the upscale living one would expect for Northwest Raleigh. I will say that it took a few months to get the current Management Team that is now ...staffing the complex in place. But they have been bringing about the changes that have turned this into premiere community. I have lived through three ownership groups. This is the fourth management team and this one tries the hardest to make your living experience here fantastic. I would not hesitate to say that conditions are better than they have ever been. One of the things that make or breaks a community is the maintenance staff. The current team is fantastic in handling problems. The maintenance staff gets to any need repair or problem in an extremely timely manner. I love living here, as the community is on the banks of beautiful Lake Lynn. Where there is a 2.2 mile hiking and biking path around the lake. Many people fish and boat on the lake. The Retreat Apartment Home Complex has tennis and basketball courts, a 24 hour fitness center, and a wash pit to clean and vacuum your car or truck. Rent is appropriate but affordable, and the community is clean and comfortable. My favorite part is the easy-access to the Lake Lynn trail!
