Don’t expect to get your deposit refunded
October 29, 2024I lived here almost 3 years and was “let out of my lease” due to noise issues in the apartment below me on the first floor. I took advantage of the opportunity that they offered me to move out early since they were too afraid to confront the issue. They are going to keep all but $60.00 of my $550.00 deposits . They claimed that they had to refinish the floors due to damage from my cats, (that did not occur). Management then said that they were going to replace the carpeting anyway and “wouldn’t ...charge me for it.” Frankly, it should have been replaced before I moved in due to wear and staining. They sent videos as “proof” that the floors had to be refinished, but never lifted up the padding to show the floors that were supposedly damaged. Management said that people that did not fulfill their leases usually didn’t’t get any deposits refunded. I pointed out that they offered the early release and tried to discuss this with them. October 4, 2023Living at Avery Brooke was by far the best renting experience my girlfriend and I could’ve asked for. It has everything you could ask for the pool is amazing and the gym is huge. You get so much sq footage of living space and a balcony or patio for an incredibly affordable price especially when you start comparing to other complexes the bank for your buck is unmatched. There is also so much to do in the surrounding area. Not Worth Your Peace
November 23, 2020First, ask yourself if you enjoy hearing everything your neighbors do. I can understand if you do not get a top floor apartment but I had a top floor apartment and it sounded like a zoo below me. Some of the tenants seemed nice but if you get unlucky like me and get obnoxious and careless people who constantly are slamming their doors and screaming you won’t be able to enjoy a second of your time. Never had a noise issue from the people below me in my previous top floor apartments until now. ...Parking is a nightmare. The lot is very narrow. They have enough spots for approximately 75% of the complex Staff is responsive and friendly. The pool and gym are nice amenities. Apartments are updated since they are relatively new. Nothing special. If you enjoy peace and like to park near your apartment please find another place to reside. Worse Choice
June 12, 2019I wish I could give it 0 stars. Do not rent at Avery Brooke! I have rented there for 3 years, here is what I found: 1- The stuff inside look nice (counter tops, blinds, etc...), however, they are extremely bad quality, we complained many times about them and they confirmed the quality is bad but never did anything about it. When you leave, they'll make you pay for COMPLETE replacements, that's what they did to us. 2- The stove is glass top, if when you leave and they find a single scratch on it, ...they'll make you pay for a complete replacement. 3- The place "sounds" quiet, however, it's close to the train, so every night you'll hear the noise of the train right next to you. 4- If you have kids and don't want them to go to Columbus Schools, then be aware that this is in Columbus schools district. 5- The rent is way overpriced compared to other similar places with better amenities in the same area. Many Issues
January 17, 2017The apartments are beautiful, open and bright with a great patio. I really like the layout of ours. The pool is indeed a plus, the staff is kind and friendly. However, Avery Brooke Apt has many problems. Parking is absolutely a disaster!!!!!!!!!!!! If you don't rent a garage, good luck getting a place to park. Owner says that is just apartment living...not true. I believe it states above parking is 1 space. I'm sure most every apartment has at least two vehicles (we do) some more. I have asked ...many people that live in other apartment communities, none have this problem. If you want to park near your apartment you better be home before 4:00 p.m.. We pay far to much rent for this to be such a horrible problem. The heating/AC units is so loud when it is on in the that every time it comes on you have to turn your TV way up and then its blasting of course when the unit goes off. I live in a 1st floor apartment and have come to find out that was definitely a great choice. I can hear "everything" from my upstairs neighbors and they are "not" loud people. They are very nice people and try not to be loud. I can hear when they go to the bathroom, when they open their closet downstairs it sounds like they are in my apartment. The brochure says running path....no running path. The brochure said tanning bed...no tanning bed, clubhouse for entertaining...only if during office hours. November 22, 2015Recently moved to Columbus area. Shopped all over northwest side of town. By far best deal with brand new units, very good details ( crown molding, gas fire place, balcony). Bang for your buck!
October 23, 2015I did my research and visited TONS of apartment communities this side of town, and I was surprised by how much you get for your money here! Quality, brand new units in a great location with all the amenities! I'm just in a one bedroom, but it feels more like a house than most apartments...TALL ceilings with crown molding, big walk-in closet, tons of storage, big windows, and 'open-concept' layout so I can still see the tv from kitchen and dining room. Best and brightest place to call home
September 26, 2015If you're looking for a place to call home in greater Columbus look no further than Avery Brooke. These apartments are brand new and extremely well constructed. The features inside and out are fantastic and the 9 ft. Ceilings allow for 70" high windows which bring tons of light into the apartment. Nothing dark and dreary here. My second floor apartment features a very large deck... The largest one I've ever had in an apartment. The staff is wonderful and always ready to help with whatever I ...need. Moving on my own from a few hours north, they were extremely helpful during my transition. Then there's the clubhouse which includes a workout room, a huge party room, a billiards table, and a screening room with leather recliners and three large flat screen TVs -all brand new.
