Better places to live

I had a horrible time living here. The walls are super thin. I was frequently woken up at night by either a neighbors dog barking, the upstairs neighbor just walking around, emergency vehicles driving by, or sometimes the next door neighbors being "intimate". At one point another resident actually threatened me while living here, and wouldn't leave me alone. After the pandemic hit the pest control/air filter replacer guy didn't have a mask, and instead of getting one, just handed me the air ...
filter, told me to do it myself, and didn't treat for pests. I didn't use the pool often, but the few times I tried to, they had it closed with no explanation why, and it wasn't on the maintenance day. They also seem to try and squeeze as much money out of you as they can. I paid $50 total for my garage door opener and apartment key, and I got no money back even after returning those items upon move out. On top of rent and water, you have to pay an "admin" fee, pest control fee, and a hefty trash fee each month. They didn't make it obvious that I had to let them know SIXTY days in advance that I was moving out at the end of my lease. After the lease ends it auto-renews monthly with an additional ~$300 a month tacked on until you give them a 60 day notice. They also took almost half of my security deposit for really minor things. There are just better places to live, I'm currently paying $60 less per month for an apartment that's over 300sq ft bigger.

Seriously, words cannot contain how happy I have been living here. I moved in June 2017 from Louisiana, the women in the office have been so helpful. Meghan has been working with me since before I moved in and has been helpful ever since. Our maintenance guys Cody and Kenny are amazing and quick to action. Kenny in particular has built a special relationship with my dog and many other pups across the property. It is so nice to have folks working here that love their residents and their residents' ...
fur babies. I've lived in many different apartments in three states. This is my longest stay and for good reason. If you have the opportunity, I highly suggest. This location in downtown OKC is primo. New stuff popping up all the time and within walking distance.

I've been living here for over a year and -oh man guys- I love it. It's the best place I've ever lived! The location is perfect, it's right next to the art museum and civic center, and they're very pet-friendly. The staff is good-natured, accommodating, and, best of all, competent; plus they're all so friendly! The building is beautiful; they keep up with repairs, cleaning, and landscaping. Living in Downtown OKC is challenging whether you work down here or simply like all the activities. The Avana is the best centrally located complex for true downtown dwellers. It has all the requisite amenities that you want: decent sized apartments; nice kitchens; huge closets; gym; parking garage; valet trash; nice pool and recreation area in the courtyard; but, by far the greatest benefit of the Avana is a seasoned staff who treat you like they are your personal concierge. deliveries, business center, conference room use, complaints or security or service the girls and guys working this property make my life easier. When things are fine they are as unobtrusive as carpet but when YOU need them, when something goes wrong or you are stuck for a solution? Ask and they deliver. Best location in Downtown OKC

This is an amazing location. It is within walking distance of midtown and bricktown, and right next to the Oklahoma City Museum of Arts and the Civic Center Music Hall. It pretty nice, pools great, but pretty overpriced for individual units. Lots of construction going on right now too. If it was cheaper, I would definitely stay here again. Great location though if you work downtown.
