    The staff member appropriately scheduled a return visit to address our maintenance request in an effort to avoid disrupting our daily routine. This provided us the opportunity to prepare our space in advance. They honored their scheduled time commitment, and the issue was assessed and resolved within 15–20 minutes. This level of communication, professionalism, and efficiency is both appreciated and expected moving forward.

    Lived here a couple years ago and wasn’t impressed. Don’t be fooled by the model unit. None of them look even remotely like that. What could have been described as character is covered in layer upon layer of paint. Who paints over bathroom tiles or the bathtub? Both were peeling within a month. Maintenance crew was fantastic but there’s only so much they’re allowed to do. Office staff was hit or miss. Fortunately with the high turnover, if you don’t like them give it a month. There will be ...
    someone new. The entrances in the buildings is depressing. Brown carpet, walls that look dirty even if they’re not, paint peeling off the front door. I thought that was just my building until I started DoorDashing. It’s every building. And one thing I’ve noticed since dashing, there are so many lights out in the complex. Like every group of buildings has at least one front light and one entrance light out. That alone makes me think it’s probably gone downhill since I moved. The pool is okay. Nothing special. That and the fire pit are the only amenities. Price is okay for the area. But too high considering the condition and lack of additional amenities. But it is safe. My girlfriend said she always felt safe walking in late at night. If you can afford it, I’d look elsewhere. But if you’re on a budget or don’t care what your humble abode looks like, this MIGHT be the place for you. But seriously, I’d keep looking

    We have lived here for 3 years and never been late on rent, we have been good tenants who don't cause issues with our neighbors. We have had RATS, ROACHES, MOLD and now FLESH FLIES and getting the office/maintenance to do anything is like pulling teeth. We had to beg for YEARS for them to fix major water damage in our living room. The people in the front office are incredibly rude and can't even be bothered to pretend to care. The maintenance man is also insanely rude and literally never does ...
    anything to help. Unless you want to constantly have problems and pay way too much money for what you get do not move here.

    Lease office staff was so helpful and supportive in the leasing and move-in process. The apartment was clean and ready to go. The while complex is clean and quiet. I looked at many places and Avondale Station is by far one of the best apartment complexes in Atlanta.

  • DO NOT MOVE HERE. PLEASE READ IT ALL

    My apartment was infested with fleas when I moved in; I had to wait days because the office would not call Orkin sooner, and they were not at all concerned that my apartment was infested or that I was covered in flea bites. Months later I had pest issues with roaches. Orkin came and told me that the roaches were coming in through holes in the utility closet, and I should let the apartment maintenance know so they can patch them. I told maintenance what the Orkin man said, but he argued with me ...
    and said there were no holes, and told me that pest issues are just part of living in an apartment, and there is nothing I can do about it. I noticed a chemical smell in my refrigerator, and my food tasted like chemicals. I contacted maintenance, and they came to look at the fridge, but said they couldn’t smell anything, so the said nothing was wrong. I was fed up and consulted an independent contractor. He confirmed that pest control chemicals had gotten under the fridge and entered the fridge air supply. He said it needed to be replaced. I told the office I needed a new fridge, but they refused and said they had never heard of chemicals getting in the fridge. Finally, after 2 WEEKS and repeated calls to the office, they switched out my fridge, but insisted that they still didn’t agree anything was wrong. Finally, HERE IS THE KICKER: I called the office to let them know that I would not be renewing my lease. This was more than 60 days before my lease expired. Fast forward 2 months, and I get a letter at my door saying the office never heard from me about renewing my lease, so I would be forced to pay market rate (400 more than I was paying) for 60 days beyond the end of my lease. Furious, I contacted the office, and they said I was required to give them a written notice. The office staff deliberately failed to tell me I needed to provide a written notice when I talked to them previously. They completely scammed me, and pointed me to the clause in the lease that said they were not obligated to tell me I needed to provide a written notice. I was expected to remember that when I signed the lease 12 months ago. When I told them they lied to me, they told me they were “done talking to me,” and yelled at me to leave the office. Not only is the apartment complex complete garbage, the office staff is incompetent, rude, disrespectful, unprofessional, and deliberately tries to scam their residents. Please heed my caution and look elsewhere.

    1/2 mile from expensive Decatur City, Avondale Station provides the convenience of being in proximity to the cool, eclectic City of Decatur and Avondale Estates but not paying the crazy Decatur City prices. Hardwood Floors, walk in master closet, pet friendly apartments, community garden and a pretty diverse community allows those who lives here to feel at peace with the place they call home.
