My name is Marla Priester, my current living situation is renting the basement of someone's home. I currently have a bedroom, a closet and shower I have shared living space which is the kitchen and living room areas. I have already experienced being flooded 2 months after I moved in. The shower door has already fallen off and the shelf in the closet keeps falling down. I have a landlord who does not like to shovel the snow properly in the winter. with him 5 days a week who likes to play and run. The reason that I am requesting free rent for a year is because my sister passed 2 years ago, she has a daughter who has been struggling with the loss of her mom. My niece just found out she is with child, so I suggested to her that we find an apartment together so that I can help her and her baby. Right now my niece floats between my other sister home and her grandmother. She really hasn't had a stable home since the passing of her mom. We both are gainfully employed but Free rent for a year would take a lot of stress off of both of us as we get our lives together. I know there are going to be a lot of stories but if you could just find it in your heart to grant us this it would be greatly appreciated. God Bless you.
