Nah really though!

This place is fantastic and I’ll be honest I’m hard to please and like to brag a little. The amenities are top tier and I’m still learning something about them new everyday. The staff?! Amazing!! Sarah, Aurielle and the rest of the team were the nicest people even though i called 20 million times. If you’re reading it, just make the move.

They put residents into unsafe environments. Opened my front door and was showered with sparks from welding. No safety barriers, no warning signs, no email/notification about the work that was being done NOTHING. And don't' bother trying to call the office they NEVER ANSWER the phone. And then to be harassed by the maintenance worker when I asked them to stop. 100% UNSAFE

I recently moved to Alameda from Ireland and the folks at Ballena Village have made the leasing and move in process such a pleasure! Hazel and Courtney in the leasing office answered any questions I had and helped with any move in queries. Also, the maintenance staff have been great in addressing any minor issues I had after move it. I have only been here a month but I already feel welcome and at home.

I have been at Ballena Village apartments for over a year now. No words can describe how grateful I am to live here. These apartments are genuinely homes! You feel safe at all times! You feel at home from the moment you tour to when you sign your lease. I had the pleasure of interacting with everyone. I would like to first shout-out Courtney. needs and tries to to help no matter the situations. She never once made me feel like a bother, rather welcomed and like family. She was/is absolutely phenomenal! The maintenance personal are absolutely spectacular, they come immediately, never say no, and always solve a problem correctly the first time. Jose, Mario and the ENTIRE team are exceptional! Also, I would love to shout-out the ENTIRE leasing team Courtney, Hazel, Ashley, Sarah, plus the maintenance team because they treat you like family. They are like friends who truly care. Me not being from the bay, I treasure having such a friendly, professional, caring, welcoming environment. I walk in to the leasing office happy and always leave happy. Wonderful Complex in Alameda!

I lived at Ballena Village for the past year. Alameda is a very safe and nice place and Ballena Village is well maintained and has a very friendly staff. Packages are delivered to your front door and I’ve never had a package stolen even when I’ve been gone for a few days, the other residents are very respectful. It’s typically super quiet. Occasionally you can hear sports games from the nearby highschool, but they always end early and happen on the weekends. It’s very walkable to Webster Street, ...
the Ferry and Crab Cove! Everyone in the office is super friendly, especially Courtney! They are always super responsive, and any maintenance issues I’ve had were resolved quickly. My only complaint is the gym / business center are currently only open during office hours, but this will be updated soon as they implement a new app-based system.

I have packages stolen regularly. I just had another one stolen today less than two hours after it was delivered. Avoid this place; I'm planning on moving out as soon as feasible.

I have lived at Ballena Village for approximately 3 months, and it has been a pleasant experience. This morning, I had a plumbing issue. I logged into our residence app and completed a maintenance request. While I was away, Jose came to my apartment at 1000 and fixed the problem. I really like that the maintenance staff are quick to respond to request and that they are respectful of my personal living space. They always leave a card letting me know who enter and what was done.

We are expected to move in soon, so I cannot comment on our experience living there but based on our tour with Courtney I can easily claim that the grounds are: clean, maintained, have friendly residents, relatively quiet and of course has all amazing amenities. We were not expecting to secure our apartment within merely an hour or two after touring it! I cannot stress enough how wonderful it was to work with Courtney, she was so incredibly helpful throughout the entire process she made sure ...
one way or another we would find a way to increase our chances to securing an apartment. She was very transparent and answered every one of our questions- as someone who is very detailed oriented, Courtney exceeded my expectations and definitely is setting a great tone for moving forward and having a great communication and relationship with the leasing office. Great Apartment Service

I have had some frequent issues with the apartment maintenance like fused lights or blocked drains, but the apartment 24 x 7 maintenance is very prompt and efficient in resolving all issues. The service staff is courteous and does their job well. The apartments are located in a very scenic backdrop, with lots of foliage and birds. The swimming pool and jacuzzi are fully functional, and I am now looking forward to the inaugural of the recently renovated clubhouse.
