Cresting Capitol Hill/ Hovering in Central District
July 21, 2015I live in a 1-bedroom in a 1930's building's daylight basement. There is construction of a new building seven-feet from my windows. My rent has not decreased because of it. This is not the manager's decision. There are streaks in the walls where water has run. There are water spots on the paperish/woodish tiles on the lowered bedroom ceiling. The humidity is over 50%. I was given an industrial dehumidifier that filled in less than two days, broke and I was refused a replacement. All water ...problems end-up in this apartment. I have no kitchen fan and only a bathroom fan. Oil from cooking coagulates on the bathroom ceiling. Maintenace is cool. I am in my fourth year here.
