July 24, 2024My overall experience at Mockingbird Flats is not a pleasant one. Since the time I moved in here I’ve been facing issues dealing pest, cleanliness (the condition of apt given) etc. Even the corridors are not cleant well. This property is supposed to be 12 years old (not too old) but the maintenance is not that great. Would not recommend for happy living!Property Manager Responded

Burglarized after less than 24 hours
July 22, 2024Less than 24 hours after moving in, the storage unit that they leased me was burglarized and vandalized. The culprit left their shirt in my unit, meaning they walked out wearing my shirt. I called the leasing office and they said “was there something you wanted me to do?” The response has been completely lame. I have had the keys to my apartment for nearly a month but could only move in yesterday due to the elevators being broken for about 3 weeks. I was forced to take the stairs every time I ...came to take measurements, which is unsafe as a woman living alone. I do not feel safe here. I feel so violated not only by the burglary but by the response. There is dog poop in the stairwells as well.Property Manager Responded

Do not live here
January 23, 2020Shared facilities are constantly having problems. The elevator near my unit has been broken since the week after Thanksgiving and is showing no signs of being fixed soon. Management is unresponsive, unhelpful and dismissive. They rarely, if ever, pick up the phone and have not responded to any of my emails in 6 weeks. Terrible property management
September 19, 2019I've lived at this property for two years. Building is in a good location, that's all this property has going for it. Waterton took over as the property management company last year and has made it their mission to turn this place into a slum. Elevators are constantly out of service for long periods of time. Maintenance requests take weeks to resolve. Security gates and doors for the parking garage and stairwells are left open. Residents are forced to pay for a "concierge" trash service that ...requires garbage to be left in the hallways. Residents can no longer have packages delivered to the property, have to go through a third party service and send packages to a different address to schedule later delivery. All that on top of a mugging and shooting on the property earlier this year. Plenty of apartments in Dallas, no need to live here.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
