Terrible experience
August 24, 2022Miscommunication between tenants and management positions all the time. Apartments are not worth what they charge and our dishwasher was very poor quality. Hot water went out frequently.Review from Apartments.com
Awful, awful, awful.
December 19, 2019I do not recommend moving into Birchwood unless you have little to no options or are in a difficult financial predicament. This is borderline slumlord. It’s difficult to get accurate information from anyone when you have a question, the main property manager does not care whatsoever. If you leave, don’t expect your security deposit back. You’ll probably end up owing them somehow if anything. Worst experience I’ve had renting somewhere and my past landlords have considered me a great tenant in the ...past. No heat in lower corner apts
December 5, 2019Frozen out. Ice on windows. Mgmt said the boiler system was at full capacity. People in upper apartments had their windows open. Lesson learned. Call city inspector. I'm glad I never paid the judgement. I never owed for all those freezing nights and getting sick. Those apartments are barely suitable for couples that can keep each other warm but they must not have children because their child will freeze in that second bedroom. Horrible!
October 25, 2018Me and my 6 year old son moved to birchwood apts about 2 years ago. We have recently moved out. Our stay at birchwood was the most awful. I should have looked at the google reviews. They have a 1.7 starts out of 5!. During our stay twice we had to temporary relocate because of bed bugs...the final time it happened is when we finally moved out. The manager Dan is so rude. I had a professional cleaning service come to my apt to do all the rugs and deep clean every thing (Even though it didn't ...need it at all) The manager called me a day after we moved out saying i should be ashamed of myselfe because it was filthy and full of roaches! I was appalled! It just so happened i had a key i forgot to turn in so i went back to the apt recorded and took pictures of everything just in case. As i left it the day before the apt was spotless and looked the same, if not better than when i moved in. He of course tried to keep my security deposit but i took him to court and it was returned to me. Stay far away from this place!Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
THE WORST APARTMENT EVER
January 18, 2018Do not give these people money. Have lived here unfortunately for 3 years and upon departure, they tried to swindle my security deposit from me and charge rent for a month I did not live there. Terrible management Poor maintenance upkeep Vandalism in vehicle Coin op laundry always broken down Paper thin walls Very old, un-updated carpets and household items Very shady people! Nice but could be better
October 21, 2016I rented there for two years and the thing I hated most is that the appliances are very out dated which will make your power &light bill high,You might want to check that out!The air conditioners there are very old too and really have a hard time cooling which will cost you more.The other thing I hated is when they re roofed the buildings and didnt give notice untill the day they came,so you had to listen to people pounding on your roof for two days.The last thing I hated about living there was ...getting on to packerland was a nightmare,Dont try to turn left on a school day!The people who lived there are very nice .I think the pool there is a waste of space considering the few people that use it.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com

September 29, 2015The apartments I'm living in are great! I'm renting right now because I am a college student living five hours away from home! The apartments give me a homey feel. They are clean and well maintained. The people in the office are kind and helpful. For example, when I first moved in I had a key issue and they resolved it within an hour. The location is great; it's right across the street from the college. My neighbors are also great, some are college students like me and others are older.
