          Hands down, the worst apartment complex l've ever rented at. Leasing management gets nothing done in a timely manner, or they can’t even answer the phone at very least. They take no responsibility for theft that occurs at their property (had 8 packages stolen out of the mail room). I've made complaints about the dirty hallways, but it seems to go unnoticed since the leasing office itself is always nice and clean. Pest control requests and work orders go without completion for months. The pool was ...
          swamp green with organisms growing at the bottom for the vast majority of last summer. Not to mention, during the warm months of the year gnats infest the building. I went without A/C for 4 months because maintenance couldn't figure out how to fix the issue. The entrance for the "gated" parking lot was left open for months at a time without being fixed, leaving the parked cars subject to theft and robbery. There was a homeless man sleeping on the ground in the hallway 2 weeks ago because the doors to the building are left propped open for anyone to enter. I would never recommend this apartment complex to anyone.

          The pool is so dirty that green algae has formed all around the pool. The purpose of moving here was for amenities, however everything here seems to be dirty or broke. Secondly the gym dumbbells handle has been broken for months and still hasn’t been fixed. Third the sofas in the lobby are still dirty and stained for many months now . Fourth TVs in the gym still haven’t been replaced . Fifth the pool table balls are still missing and have yet to be replaced. Six the carpet that leads to the ...
          elevators are stained and needs to be replaced. Seventh the hallways on the apartments floors have been neglected for a very long time and need to be repainted. Eight the management needs to fire the cleaning company who half’s vacuums the hallway floors and cleaning needs to be done more regularly . Ninth management needs to require that maintenance presses the trash compactor button more frequently to prevent from trash falling on the ground. Why have a dumpster compactor and not press button to eliminate the trash . As a result I witnessed very large rats gathering by the dumpster . Also the building next to the dumpster i saw large rats digging under the apartment building please look for the red mud which clearly points out the rats. Tenth double check the walk in gates for all buildings . When you have to visit the leasing office I noticed that some of the side gates don’t lock and some of the gates metal has been stretched and broken to allow easy entrance into the parking lot . With rent being at the highest level in years one would think that the management company would resolve and fix problems and concerns as they occur however here they just don’t care. Eleventh fix the street signs multiple street signs are missing or on the ground . Twelve why is it that the buildings don’t have a buzzer to let your guess in at this rent price range ? Who wants to have to walk out of apartment and walk all across the parking lot just to let your guess in? If you’re thinking of leasing run no better yet get in your car and drive like you’re on a racetrack to get away from here !!! To management no need to reach out to remove the posting instead fix the problems I have laid them all out. This review will be updated in 30 days .

          Everything everyone below me wrote is absolutely true. We love the inside of our apartment but beyond that it is terrible. It doesn’t matter who is managing this property (because it has changed a few times), the same thing applies. Dog poop everywhere, cops always here because of constant crime, everything is broken and stolen (broken doors, gates, stolen gym equipment, etc.). Resident portal has changed about 3 times, utilities company they use left abruptly so we had to pay back utilities and my rent was over $150 what it usually is. They random close during the hours they’re supposed to be open) and get someone to open the lockers and rummage through to get your package. And the people who work in the office are incompetent and don’t really help you find any solutions. They’re kind of just there and don’t know what they’re doing at all. The actual apartment is cool I love my space but yeah I could find somewhere better so needless to say I will not be renewing my lease. But if you want to have constant headaches over receiving packages, poor communication from office employees(kills them to even send an email explaining anything), valet trash that comes when they feel like it…..move here.

          We had a signed lease with a scheduled move in date. Days before move-in we checked in to see if everything is good to go then they told us there is serious water damage, etc and we can’t move in almost 3 months. They didn’t have the courtesy of contacting us ahead of time. They said with new management and all that we have to reapply. Not to mention the stoic, inexperienced, and clueless sounding representative. I hope the new management will be better.

          I have lived in quite a few apartment complexes in my time, and this has been by far my least favorite. The interior of the apartments are nice — that aside, everything else is pretty bad. Firstly, there is a lot of crime in this area. Cars get broken into and we even had a shooting in our GATED parking lot. Secondly, the staff doesn’t respond to e-mails or calls. Even the online resident portal doesn’t get answers. Gates and doors will be broken for weeks, packages go missing, etc., and they ...
          won’t answer emails. Dog poop is everywhere because the bag stations never get refilled. On top of that, they overfill to the point you can’t fit bags in there. People throw really loud parties in the patio areas. At least during nice weather, this is really common. Most weekends during the summer people were screaming out there until 2am+. It’s just not worth the money. They seem nice and the price seems reasonable, but it really is just poorly managed. Don’t move here - there are way better places in Charlotte.

          Blu was a fairly good place to live up until a few months ago. But as mentioned in previous reviews things have gone down hill over the past 3-5 months. It's way more noisy now than before, which is no fault of the property. But the courtesy officer they claim we have so far has been useless. The actual manager of the property seems like she actually listens and might do something (eventually). But everyone else working here could careless about any issues you bring to them. They will blow you off and not even report your concerns to their manager. They mask all of this by blocking ALL negative comments or criticisms from the community portal which is designed for residents to share information with each other. Gun shots heard often, fights in the street often, car break ins not often but also not uncommon. If any of this is addressed and corrected soon I will gladly come back and make another review about the positive. But as of now this is it.

A positive is that you have an elevator. You also have a beautiful pool that you can barely use. They literally put chains on the pool so that nobody ...

You have college students partying all night, and throwing up on sidewalks. Listen, this is NOT luxury living, they ae just newer apartments.           The apartments are brand new and a good value. Maintenance is quick and thorough. I have not had any issues with excessive noise from neighbors or traffic. The clubhouse and pool are great, and there are regular, successful community events. The chocolates at the leasing office are to die for.           one egregious sleight, though, when they gave notice after 8 AM that a safety inspector would be in my home that same day. I felt violated. When I wanted to post on the community message board to complain, my post got moderated and was never visible. The management is very hospitable, though, and listened and responded graciously to my complaints. Davone, Marissa, and Ricardo are always a delight and know everyone by name. To their credit, I think the inspection was a surprise to them, too. They are a bit anal about the rules, particularly regarding the pool, which--while a nuisance at times--I suppose is a net positive in this area. You can count on one menacing email a week about some subject or another (and it's not immediately clear if you're being singled out or if it's to all residents). The gym is good, but a little small relative to the number of residents. There's only ever one functional treadmill. The dog park is quite spacious, and they've thoughtfully segregated it into big/small dog areas. It could use some ramps, tunnels, or other features. The fence posts are a little too far apart, so small dogs could squeeze through. All in all, you should rent here.

          Blu at Northline has to be the best apartment complex I've ever lived in. Everyone that works here is so friendly and welcoming. Especially Ricardo! Ricardo made the leasing experience painless; which is hard to find these days especially if you live in a larger city! All in all, this apartment complex will be my home for many years to come. Plus, it being close by the LightRail makes it a great place to call home.
