Terrible apartment management

My wife and I moved out of this apartment a month ago. We were unhappy during our stay (the unit was super dark during the day), but we finished our 1-year lease and moved out. The real problem started with the move-out process. When they came for the pre-move-out inspection, the inspector told me they generally charge a cleaning and painting fee as part of their "regular process," barely checking the walls. ignored it. I tried reaching out to Maggie, but she easily ignores you when you need an answer or assistance. Calling AIR Communities didn't help either. Ultimately, they charged us a painting fee. The most ridiculous part is that the "damage" images they attached were pre-existing marks that were already on the walls when we moved in, which we didn't even consider damage, it was normal wear and tear. If you are planning to move into this building, make sure you photograph every little thing on the wall and attach it to your move-in report. We had multiple issues with management, but this was the final straw. Overall, the worst experience we have ever had. Never again with AIR Communities.
