My son lived here during the 2025–2026 school year. We paid every monthly statement that appeared on his resident account throughout the lease.
At move-out, we were presented with additional utility charges from the beginning of the lease that had not appeared on the monthly statements we had been paying. accounting system that did not address my questions.
We also experienced maintenance issues, including waiting nearly two weeks for a washer and dryer repair. The issue was resolved only after I contacted the office directly.
This review is not intended to suggest that utilities should not be paid. Rather, I encourage parents to ask these questions before signing a lease:
How many months behind are utility bills?
Will monthly statements always reflect the actual amount owed?
Can utility charges accumulate and appear later?
Are there any charges that will not appear until move-out?
Students and parents deserve complete transparency so they can budget appropriately.
