More than meets the eye

On the surface this is a nice and well maintained property with many amenities and great location for shopping and dining, but that’s it. We paid top dollar for a three bedroom unit on the second floor, two garages and two pets. After the first week we regretted our decision, because all that we could hear at times was the family above us. We also had sinks that wouldn’t drain, black mold around our bedroom windows, dripping sinks and a dryer that had to be fixed multiple times. When there was ...
little effort to help us with the family above, other than moving my family of 5 into another apartment, we decided to shop for a house.
After we found our house, we gave notice after only 6 months and this is where it really took a turn for the worse. When we signed the lease, the agent told us we would just have to give 30 days notice and pay an extra month for early termination, but then we were told 60 days when we gave notice. Then for the kicker, after we moved out they sent us an invoice for over $1200.
Not expecting any kind of invoice we were shocked, and noticed that just over $1000 of that was for replacing carpet. Our pets are completely house trained however we paid a deposit and we paid for them each month, but there “damages” we a small area around a threshold where a small amount of carpet had been clawed at. Otherwise we never wore shoes in the apartment except for when we were moving. When we asked for an explanation and why we weren’t given a chance to do a walk through before the carpet was replaced, they told us we never asked for one and there maintenance people said there were stains that couldn’t be fixed. Then they produced some pictures that showed a few minor stains which were insignificant, and we had carpet experts tell us they could have definitely been cleaned and the threshold issue repaired. After pressing the leasing office more, they produced more pictures with more significant stains that definitely were not from and we would have certainly noticed because of how prominent they were, including black stains on the walls that also were not from us.
I could go on for a while about how unrelenting the leasing office continues to be but still have not explained the other charges for things that were supposed to have been a part of the final bill we paid our last month. Instead I’ll leave you with this, find another property to call home. If you already lease there, use this as a cautionary tale.

I have been looking to move to the Peachtree City area for about 2 weeks. After looking online and calling several places, it seems like Camden is the best apartment community around the area. I have spoken with both Seth and Austin and they were both extremely helpful. They answered all my questions quickly and made me feel comfortable about my choice. From what I can tell, no other place beats the convenience of location and number of amenities that they provide.

A very nice luxury apt. Office staff Greg and Austin were always on point and helpful. Maint staff led by Felix always timely and responsive did excellent work. Altho our stay was short as out of towners it was a great place to start our experience in Peachtree City

Camden Peachtree City is a great location that's close to multiple options for dining, shopping, and entertainment. There's direct access to the hundreds of miles of golf cart paths that wind thru Peachtree City. We are 20 min. from I85. Family friendly and quiet. Great and helpful staff. Only negative is the cost which is quite high.
