Amazing Place to Live
March 28, 2021I can not absolutely speak highly enough about the staff at Camden Thornton Park. I recently relocated to Orlando from out of state and so I had to do my entire apartment shopping process online. I looked at every single apartment complex in the Lake Eola/Church Street area as well as Baldwin Park. I had to look at floorplans/videos/pictures and reviews online, it was absolutely overwhelming. Finally I settled on CTP. The application process was so easy, credit check was easy, and based on how ...thorough it was it made me feel comfortable that there were quality tenants in the building. Well, when I got down here and came to sign my paperwork, the unit I selected had some major issues and just wasn't up to my expectations. It could've been a serious problem because my furniture was being delivered in 2 days and I didn't have time to go through the entire apartment hunting process again. After going over the list of available units I was able to pick another one out, signed the lease, and everything was good to go. In addition, Maryam went ABSOLUTELY above and beyond to ensure that I was satisfied with the new unit I chose as well as go over everything in the building with me since I was not able to tour the building prior to leasing my apartment. Since moving in I have met several other residents who are equally as pleased with living here. I would absolutely recommend this complex to anyone looking to live in the Eola area, its so convenient to Publix, amazingly secure, extremely well maintained, has a beautiful pool and fitness center and all of the staff is so friendly.Property Manager Responded

Excellent place to live
August 22, 2020Camden Thornton Park has been nothing but great living here for 2 years! Obviously some issues here and there, and they have started some construction due to water intrusion on the outside walls, but that was not their fault as they took over management. They have been nothing but accommodating, especially when issues arise they are on top of it immediately! Emil in the office is great and so was Jordan (he is gone now). Keys to the City security in the front is great too! Amar in the mornings is ...no nice and cool! the security is great with dogs and always gives them a treat! Overall a great place to live, even if its more on the expensive side it is worth it! Walk to Publix, bars, lake eola, etc!Property Manager Responded

Security guard approaches single women aggressively and threateningly- NOT OKAY!
March 3, 2018On my first visit to this place as a single woman traveling alone, I had such a bad run-in with the security guard that I'd never consider 420 East as a place to live. I pulled into the guest parking garage and parked in the dark far corner of the garage because all the other spaces were taken. While sitting in my car about to get out, a large guy came storming up to me and stood right outside my drivers' side door- trapping me in my car- and shouted at me, "Why are you here?" I responded by ...saying, "First of all, who are you?" and instead of answering by introducing himself, he continued demanding to know why I was there as if he had some right to know anything about me. His aggressiveness was unprofessional, disrespectful, threatening, and absolutely inexcusable. When I refused to give him any answers until he identified himself, he sourly said he was the security guard and insisted that I had to come in for a parking pass IMMEDIATELY or he would have my car towed. At this point it was clear the guy was just on a power trip because I had challenged him. No other car of the 60 cars in the guest garage had parking passes on them. I was already on the guest list, but went through the inconvenience of getting the pass anyway. At no point did the guy tone down his aggression. In fact, he required the same hoop-jumping on my second visit to the complex the following week, although again no one else had any kind of parking pass. Regardless of what 420 East's guest requirements may or may not be, my position is this: 1) I would never pay money to live anywhere that treated me or people visiting me in that way; 2) no man on earth has any right to approach a single woman in that manner, least of all one employed by the place she is visiting and he should be fired for his conduct. Simply the BEST!
January 27, 2018I've lived in the heart of downtown for 10 years. 8 years total at 2 different high-rise apts and now 2 years at 420 East. Best move ever! Here is how it differs and is worth every penny: The construction is solid and you do not hear your neighbors. I open my slider and hear the outside hustle and bustle and when it closes it is like a suction and you only hear a few faint sounds. People are so nice here (especially on my floor) A lot of different ages and families. Respectful of each other and ...tolerant. It is a block from Publix and Lake Eola. The businesses on the first floor include an amazing wine shop (Wine and Corks) who not only know you by name but give discounts, Yoga Mix (which is awesome) a tea room and other fun and different shops. The best restaurants are within walking distance, parking is ample with a residents only assigned space and then commercial parking separate. The moving in space is well designed and does not compete with commercial loading and unloading. There is storage and a car washing space. The art exhibits are amazing and showcase local artists, the amenities are very nice and lastly the staff are simply the best. The management team actually cares about you, know you by name and check in with you to make sure you resolved an issue. The maintenance crew is quick and efficient and the security team is top notch! I will not move from here unless I get transferred to another city. Wow!
October 11, 2016I moved into this beautiful property early this year and it was the best decision I've ever made! The office staff is so warm and welcoming and the concierge desk is incredible! I love hanging at the pool and going to all of the resident events... there are so many! My apartment is beautiful and it is the nicest place I've ever lived by a long shot. Being so close to Lake Eola and in the Thornton park area make it even better, I love walking everywhere! You cant go wrong with 420 East!Review from Apartments.com
