Gates Broken and High Rent
August 12, 2021I overall enjoyed my time at Carolina Point. The location right off of I-85 is great if you can look past Woodruff Rd traffic (Moving to the area, I wish I knew how bad Woodruff traffic truly gets. It's no joke. I probably would have moved further away to avoid it if I knew). The office staff had a lot of turnover after the switch from Avana management after I first moved in. The staff is friendly, but not the best at replying, especially when you need an urgent response. The most frustrating ...part of Carolina Point is the gates. They are always open or broken- which led to a lot of car break-ins/theft in the complex. If an apartment is advertised as a luxurious, gated community... you expect the gates to work. Especially at the premium price they charge. I loved the open, spacious floorplan of my apartment and truly loved the unit I was in. But the increase of rates of over $100/month once my lease ended was what encouraged me to move. I get that rent increases happen, (especially in this market) but the amount of the increase issued to live in a complex with broken gates, staff that aren't there to help when you need it, and amenities that don't work did not seem fair.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Horrible Management
June 5, 2021stay away from this apartment! Horrible Management: 1. They overcharged everything. If you want to add roommates to the lease, there ask for an extra $500/each. If you want to leave the apartment, they ask for 60 days' notice! Or you will need to pay for the next two month rent. 2. The maintenance team was terrible. It took them 3 days to replace a light bulb for me. 3. The gate is "always" broken. It was not functional at all. It even closes before I went through it several times. 4. The ...internet is the slowest ever. You can only choose ATT. 5. There aren't enough parking lots. Beware of gates and poor management
February 16, 2021Beware of the gates and poor management. I am not a resident but, I had went to visit a resident. We entered the code to open the gate. As we drove through the arm came down on my car. The arm did substantial damage to my car. I was told by Lisa, the manager, to get an estimate and it would be taken care of. I got the estimate and now Carolina Point is refusing to pay. They are actually wanting me to turn it on my car insurance. Good luck if the gate does any damage to your car.
