Welcoming and Friendly
October 12, 2020My partner and I lived here for our 4 years of undergrad at the university. This was our first apartment and it was the best experience we could've had. During our time here, Brenda and Alex were friendly, helpful, and were quick on repairs. The landscaping, pool, and public places (laundry room and bbq area) were maintained and kept very clean. The location is convenient as it is a good distance from grocery stores, downtown, and the university. We enjoyed our time here and highly recommend it!Property Manager Responded

Wonderful Place!
October 5, 2020Castle Apartments is an amazing place to live and in a great location to get around town easily. My partner and I moved to Merced for university and we lived there all four years. It is a nice, quiet complex that is always kept clean and tidy, including the pool and laundry room. The staff, Brenda and Alex, are very nice and always helpful with fixing things right away. Overall this an amazing place to live and if we didn't have to move back after school we would of stayed there indefinitely.Property Manager Responded

Great for One or Two
July 15, 2020My partner and I are both graduate students who lived at Castle for over a year, and were so thankful to get to live someplace with great management. Brenda, the front office person, and Alex, the maintenance person, were always so friendly, kind, and prompt. Both were always available to answer questions or tend to various requests. They were always really kind to our dog, too. We lived in an upstairs unit that got pretty warm during the summer, but the wall units made Merced summer mostly ...bearable. I gave this review four stars, but would have given it five if the unit had central air (as opposed to wall units) and an in-unit washer/dryer (as opposed to the otherwise super clean laundry room). The rent was really affordable, and we were only a two minute walk from the bus, about an eight minute walk to the gym and SaveMart, and walked to Fruta Loca regularly. Castle has a shaded parking space for every unit, too. Overall, Castle was really nice and we'd recommend it to either a singular person or a couple. June 29, 2020Brenda, the property manager is amazing. Alex from maintenance is responsive and thorough with work orders. I enjoyed living at Castle Apartments. The apartments are close to shopping centers, gas stations, and UC Merced. Loved Castle Apartments
June 29, 2020Living here was great. So close to stores and a great taco truck. Brenda the manager was more than accommodating to us and were very nice during our stay at Castle Apartments. It’s Family friendly. Maintenance is very responsive. It’s also only a 13 minute drive from UC Merced. I also felt secure while living here. Neighbors were friendly.Property Manager Responded

July 14, 2017I am a past tenant who lived there for 7 years. I just want to say Castle Apts. is one of the nicest apt. complex I ever lived in. Although my fixed income, I was not able to budget along with the BMW Z4 I had just purchase, I was unable, so I moved from there a couple yrs ago. It's well maintained and I would recommend this place to anyone I know.. I will say I do miss it..Review from Apartments.com
