April 8, 2026I lived here for about 3 years. There was always an issue; water boiler being broken, a/c not working properly, and roaches. I also don’t recommend living here if you hate weed smells, almost everyone who lives here smokes marijuana or cigarettes. They will smoke it inside & on their balcony & management will do nothing about it. Maintenance takes their time & will come fix your issues when they feel like it. The rent being charged is not worth the experience of living here.Review from Apartments.com
Don’t waste your money
July 28, 2023Highly recommend looking elsewhere. We’ve lived here for a year and it’s been issue after issue. The hot water boiler goes out all the time, the ac’s don’t work correctly, the ceilings have water damage spots that have just been painted over. During a storm, the siding and parts of a balcony fell off onto people’s cars. It still hasn’t been fixed. The walls are paper thin, you can hear your neighbors using the bathroom if you’re in there too. They’ve also raised the rent without doing any ...improves to the property. June 7, 2022I have lived at Chateau Napoleon for a year now and it has been a constant struggle. It is nothing like what it looks like in the pictures. The first day I moved in there were several cosmetic issues. After having my car broken into and my friend’s with zero assistance from staff, I was so frustrated. Both cars were locked. I requested video footage and was told a manager would contact me and never did even after I called again. Several residents were being harassed for money on numerous ...occasions inside the gate including myself. The same guy is always there trying to scam people for money and yet again nothing done by staff. It doesn’t help that the gate is always broken including right now as I type this. Also having my rent continually changing amounts without explanation, I cannot live here anymore. I pay month to month at the moment and put in a 30 day notice after explaining all these frustrations. I was told I would have to pay a fee, understandable, but they couldn’t tell me what the fee was. Now as I get home I have a paper saying I have to pay over $800 to move out. July 10, 2020I have lived here for few years and very happy to lived in this great property. The location is perfect. The property is kept and is very clean. Pool areas are clean and nice. Employees at the office and grounds are very nice. The maintenance issues are resolved pretty much quick. February 21, 2020There are so many Cons. The property manager or owner are not so nice or understanding. They don't have sympathy for your hardships or can't even empathy for you. They are so quick with trying to get an eviction or judgement possession on your record. I am 27 year old female from Ohio. They took advantage of me because I didn't know Louisiana laws for tenant and landlords. The residents were giving parking passes but visitors still park inside the gate leaving you no where to park. February 10, 2020My apartment is cozy and it has all the amenities I need. It fits my budget and the locale is perfect. Being centrally located just makes life a lot easier.
