September 29, 2025What can I say about City Place? As a City Place resident who has been living here for almost 5 years, I can truly say that City Place is phenomenal! It’s a hidden gem that is in a great location with superb walkability, awesome apartments, amenities and decor. Here’s why I love City Place below ?? 1. Morgan property management has been and still is doing a great job managing the property. 2. Dahlia, the Property Manager, and her team (Kevin {Asst Mgr}, Kila {Leasing Consultant} and Danny ...{Leasing Consultant} ) provide great professional service. They are very attentive and quick to handle the residents’ needs with a smile. They foster a sense of community and engagement amongst the residents by providing resident events that are full of fun, food, and fellowship. 3. Negib and the Maintenance & Housekeeping Team are absolutely phenomenal! They do a wonderful job of maintaining the grounds across several buildings to ensure that everything is sparkling and clean, trash is always picked up, landscaping is beautiful, the garages are always clean, the gym and bathrooms are fresh and tidy, and the list goes on. Additionally, they are super quick to fix any apartment issues, and they do it with excellence. 4. Security at City Place is also top notch. You can live here and NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT break ins, stolen packages (they have a Luxer Package Room), or vehicle vandalism. City Place Montrose Review: Current Resident
August 19, 2024I lived in Upper Kirby for 3 years and they kept going up on my rent. I looked at 7 different apartments until I came across City Place. I immediately fell in love with the area with the big oak trees crossing over the streets in the neighborhood. The biggest selling point to me and to be honest the main reason I am now there is the leasing staff that was so friendly and helpful. Maliah and Keyva were the light at the end of the tunnel of looking for apartments for me. They were SO helpful and ...just a delightful shine when you walk in the lobby. In fact, I went back to see the model about 6 times to measure for furniture and was embarrassed to keep asking but they always had a smile on their face and was happy to show it again for me. I am not the best with computers and had to start an app to pay rent and for maintenance tickets, I could never figure it out, so I came in the office and both Maliah and Keyva dropped what they were doing and got me all fixed up. MY NEW HOME
August 14, 2024City Place Montrose was an unexpected treat. Maliah was my leasing consultant and she was amazing. Every question I had, she answered. If she didn't know, she found out and got back to me. The property was lovely and the neighborhood is very nice and walkable. April 7, 2024This place is horrible. I lived here from Sept. 2022-April 2023. #1 Dirty/smelling carpets (even after I spent $$to have it professionally clean).#2 MOLD - you can see and smell mold musty air when you use air conditioner. #3. Would not Recommend: Infrastructure/Management Poor
November 20, 2023Would not recommend staying at CityPlace Montrose. Main issues below: - Mold: There was mold in my unit and when discovered, management refused to remediate the issue. When I asked to be let out of my lease since they did not want to remediate the issue, they informed me that I would be responsible for the rent until the end of my lease. - Management: Whenever there was an issue (key fob not working, locked out of the building on the coldest night of the year, mold in the unit, etc.) I would ...reach out to management through call/email with no response. They would call at random times, I would inform them that I am working and would appreciate if they could provide a response through email. When I would follow up, they could not recall any phone conversation. Also, I was charged upon move out for indents in the carpet due to furniture. Not a stained carpet but charged so the company could essentially vacuum a few times to remove dents in the carpet that are due to normal furniture placement after a year. I have never heard of that charge before so it seems to be a money grab. - Infrastructure (not something that can be changed but an important note): the construction quality was poor. It sounded as if my upstairs neighbors were filming a Stomp The Yard sequel throughout the day, but it was due to the flooring, not practicing a new dance sequence. If you have a package delivered outside of working hours (11-5:30 M-F), you will need to meet with the delivery person outside since there is no way for them to enter the building, no dedicated package room, and management does not hold packages. I've had a few packages stolen unfortunately and the response was "ship the package somewhere else". Management was notified of these many issues and did nothing to remediate them which is the focus of my review. No place is perfect but customer service and ability to resolve issues is important. CityPlace Montrose failed in that aspect. I've lived in a variety of apartment complexes and residences across 4 states in the past decade and I can confirm that this was my worst experience by far.Property Manager Responded

Not access to all amenteties
March 25, 2021Nice property and great location. But beware if you rent here you wont have access to both gyms as advertised in the amenities photos. The only way you have access to both is if you go during office hours and rent out a key fob or pay $75 for an additional fob. I leave early and get home when business hours are already closed; the gym I want access to(better equipment) isn't available unless I pay an additional $75. Ridiculous.
