Avoid this place
June 24, 2025This is by far one of the worst places I’ve ever lived in, especially for how expensive it is. You’d expect premium living for the price, but instead you get safety issues, constant plumbing problems (swimming pool and jacuzzi basically under maintenance 2 weeks each month), and no hot water at least once a month. It’s completely unacceptable. Noise is relentless. I work remotely and have to wear noise-canceling headphones all day. Even with all the windows shut, the sirens, honking, and traffic ...never stop. There’s a small hospital one block away, so ambulances and fire trucks are going by constantly. The traffic at the nearby intersection is also a nightmare at all hours. Getting in and out is a hassle. Management is a joke. They act super friendly at first, but once you move in, they become unresponsive unless you repeatedly complain. Moving trucks are here every week. People move in, realize the reality of this building, and move right back out. There’s constant turnover, which says everything you need to know about the quality of living here. Thankfully, there are plenty of newer, quieter, and far better-managed buildings nearby. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com

Plumbing issues
March 19, 2024The building is modern and full of amenities. Unfortunately the residents experience is spoiled by major maintenance issues. We just spent the entire weekend without hot water. Sometimes no water at all. We couldn’t use the toilet. Those problems recur almost every month. Leasing office mostly closed and useless. Definitely not worth the money.Review from Apartments.com
STAY AWAY
January 28, 2024I will leave asap my lease ends. I'm confirming the other bad reviews. This is a list of things tenants have to deal with every single month. - Serious safety issues!!! Homeless persons doing drugs in the garage, walking around the fitness center. Rarely seen a security staff on patrol. - Garage gate always broken. Weeks to fix it. Cars are exposed to thefts and damages. People are paying for a gated garage which is not actually gated. - Building's door entrance often malfunctioning. it ...doesn't close properly and stays open. Weeks to fix it. - Homeless persons often enter the building and sleep on the stairs - Stolen packages in the mail room all the time. - No hot water! The maintenance service is so cheap that the boilers broke every month basically. - No water at all! Disastrous incident last year. - The building has huge structural plumbing issues caused by lack of maintenance. Since it's a brand new building all of these problems are just non sense. Screenshots attached. - The maintenance guy never responds to emails. Impossible to schedule a time and date. He shows up unattended. - Machines in the gym broken for weeks The management basically pretends to work. If you don't complain all the time, they won't move a finger. Instead they will send you non stop spam letters to convince you buying their home insurance. Never ever seen so much incompetence, rudeness, and lack of professionalism like that. STAY AWAY !!!Property Manager Responded

Awful management
March 22, 2021I cannot say this enough... STAY AWAY! I was so excited about this building when I moved in... unfortunately, I can't say I had a good experience in the 14 months I was there. My main complaint was the awful management, mainly by Britney and Emilio. The building itself is nice, but not worth the cost of living here. Dealing with management was a nightmare. They'll be nice to your face, but won't actually help with anything. They completely mishandled the COVID-19 situation. An absolute ...failure to plan in any way what-so-ever. Even after the city and local regulation opened back up, the building failed to open areas such as the pool and other outdoor common areas for as long as an extra month. And on top of that, when things would open again, they'd do construction and shut down the amenity areas for even longer. The general restrictions they have on the residents make you feel like a prisoner in your own home. I even had management hang up the phone on me, while water was pouring from my ceiling. Getting anything fixed took several visits, and still wasn't done right. When I moved out, I was overcharged for normal wear and tear, that they claimed was "damage." Don't expect to get your deposit back, no matter how well you take care of the place. I briefly entertained the idea of renewing my lease for a second year because of the location. Their website was listing prices in the range of $600/month cheaper than what I was paying. They offered to renew my lease at a MORE expensive rate! I was able to "negotiate" that back down to the same thing I was paying, but they were completely unwilling to even entertain the idea of getting in the ballpark of what was being advertised on their website. If you want to overpay for what you're getting and don't mind dealing with the awful management then the positives you can expect are: - Convenient location, walking distance to nice shops and restaurants - Quiet apartments. I never heard noise from neighbors. - Clean apartments with modern setup/design. The negatives - Management is difficult to deal with, and unhelpful - Poor (barely any) use of facilities - Long repair times - Expensive - Small apartment spaces - Bike lockers that get broken into frequentlyProperty Manager Responded
March 24, 2021Hi, it is disappointing for us to hear that your experience was anything less than great. I am sorry to hear that our handling of Covid-19 restrictions were frustrating. We know this was challenging times for all of us and we did our best to keep the community clean and accessible to everyone while following local health orders. Let us know if there is anything else you need from us here at the Cobalt office. Sincerely, Brittany Nemeth Community Manager Cobalt Apartments 310-841 -0601
