June 12, 2017The occupant of apartment 6R died inside the apartment in December of 2016. Tons of roaches were coming out of that unit.Review from Apartments.com
Serious Cockroach Infestation
June 1, 2017I was supposed to move into Colonial Hall 5/15/2017. As I was walking down the hall toward my new apartment, I saw roaches all over the hallway, even on my door. It was absolutely disgusting! I proceeded to open my apartment door and 3 roaches came running from under the door. I turned the lights on and saw roaches EVERYWHERE! They were literally crawling out of the oven/stovetop, refrigerator door, walls, closets.... no matter where I turned and how many I killed, they just kept coming out of ...every crevice. I didn't even have any furniture or food in there as of yet. I decided not to move in there and forfeited the lease and asked for all my securities and deposits back. The super of the building, Simon gave me all my money back including the real estate fee. Luckily I was able to go back to my old apartment and didn't hire a moving truck otherwise I would've been stuck at Colonial Hall for a year. I was so disappointed. Simon reassured me that if I wanted to come back in a week he would hire an exterminator. But it's an 120 apartment building....there's no way of eradicating that kind of roach infestation. Serious cockroach infestation
November 27, 2016They are everywhere. The hallways of the building, my kitchen, bathroom, living room, bedroom. Keeping the place clean and using pesticides does nothing. Cockroaches keep coming out from where the walls and floor meet. Tons of them.Review from Apartments.com
