Pictures are misleading
June 23, 2023The unit I saw was nothing like the pictures. Outdated, rundown. Appliances were showing rust. The rent is determined by the type cabinets and flooring you have not by the square feet. Overpriced for how small and ugly the units are. Go elsewhereReview from Apartments.com
Does the job!
October 22, 2022Though it’s obvious these are built in the 70s they do have good value for the price. Some of them have updated kitchens with dishwashers etc. The size is very comfortable for 1 or 2 people, especially the end units which are a little bigger. The shared laundry facility is very nice. Noise is not a problem here, people mostly just keep to themselves. Seems super pet friendly. Location is fantastic- near Latham /87 and Cohoes/ 787. Not recommended
March 17, 2021Use to be decent however it is now a poor living environment. Disruptive tenants are not held accountable and ruin others quality of life. Office doesn't care about your well being, in fact if you complain and try to hold them accountable they ensure you will continue living in a dysfunctional state, they will not move you to another unit and they will not let you out of the lease. However they move other tenants. February 27, 2021Disappointed. Viewed an apartment it was gross. Tub was rusty and bathroom ceiling poorly patched up. Glad I viewed before putting a deposit down. September 19, 2019Lived here for 3 years & i have no complaints besides one summer i had a bad ant issue which was handled quickly other than that everything was fine. Great place to call home
June 7, 2017As I think about the four years I've been here the one thing that stands out in my mind is our property manager Joe. He hasn't been here the whole four years I've been here so I can compare him to the few people we had before him; he's always smiling, willing and ready to help with all of my many problems I come up with weekly....Joe even told my mother how to fix her car ! Joe is also very professional & educated... he knows his job down to a science. He's the only property manager that I've ...ever seen if the laundromat floors are dirty ...He will sweep them. We were looking for a house but we've got comfortable again. There was a time" before Joe" where things were rough around here and we didn't want to stay. Now we have a balanced community that is a blend of everybody. I just wanted to take the time to talk to upper management and say thank you for bringing on somebody who actually cares about the property and the people. Great Place to Live!
June 6, 2017I've lived here since 2000, leaving only for 2 years to help out with elderly parents. I love this place so much that as soon as I could, I returned "home" to Columbia Gardens. The modern apartments are lovely with large bedrooms and a large living room. If you are lucky enough to get an end apartment, the kitchen is bit larger with a window. Mine also has a dishwasher, which is included in some apartments. Closet and storage space is ample. Besides the apartment itself, the grounds are really, ...really nice and well-maintained! There are various trees, shrubbery and flowers and a lovely park-like area that is ideal for playing children. It's a great place to walk, as is the neighborhood in which Columbia Apartments is located. It's a quiet and safe area! Besides all the above, I want to mention the convenience of having a gym and pool, which are also well-maintained. Lastly, what about the people? My neighbors have always been very nice, and the staff has been very helpful and friendly. If something needs to be repaired (which is rarely), the staff is courteous and gets things done quickly. Very poorly maintained. Little concern for tenants
August 18, 2015I have lived in Columbia Woods for two years. This started off well, but after year one maintenance has completely slipped. In the winter the parking lot is often a sheet of ice. In the spring and summer, torrential ran leads to water entering the units. Management is brash and lighting on the premises is almost non existent. Not a good property.Review from Apartments.com
