Cortland Midtown Estate is a nice community. I love the amenities, including the dog park that I use often, the movie theatre, gym and free coffee. The management staff is wonderful, Paige, Samantha and Jenna are amazing!

They don’t care!!!!

I most recently moved into Cortland in December and while the apartments are nice the resident experience is TERRIBLE!!! The hallways are disgusting they’re never cleaned and when speaking to the office they said the hallways are only cleaned once a year!!!! The trash filled and stained hallways are just one instance of how they don’t care about the resident experience. The grounds outside are also dirty. To add to the horrible hallways and grounds the package locker was broken for several ...
months and tons of my packages were stolen. The mail room is not fob accessible ANYONE from the street can just walk in and take your packages. This area definitely should have some type of security/ fob system but it doesn’t . Yet another way Cortland fails at resident experience. The last straw for me and what caused me to write this review was over the weekend when my bathroom toilet was continuously leaking in my apartment and wouldn’t stop I reached out to the emergency maintenance line. I then waited several hours and had to mop every 5-10 mins to prevent my entire apartment from flooding and no one ever came. I called the emergency maintenance line around 11:30 pm on a Friday someone didn’t call me back until 6 am the next morning after I called the maintenance line again very angry at around 5am. I then submitted a request ticket for a call back from management to discuss my terrible customer experience , they resolved my ticket in the office without a call. No apology, no sympathy or care for residents. Maybe think twice before moving here, I wish I did.

Living at Cortland Midtown East has been a positive experience! It is in a convenient location - close to downtown, Capital Blvd, North Hills and 440. Although it is close to everywhere I want to go, I also feel like I am out of the hustle & bustle due to the landscaping here as well as in neighboring complexes. Do not move here if you value personal belongings and safety. Homeless individuals have been found sleeping in the amenity rooms, cars are broken into and vandalized almost weekly. SEVERAL vehicles have either been stolen or have been tampered with in a manner that shows intent to steal. Management does NOT take concerns of safety seriously at all.

He is available by following the prompts when calling for maintenance. We also have had a 3rd party security company patrolling our grounds during the nighttime hours. Unfortunately, crime has no zip code and can still make its way into any community despite best efforts to prevent it. Moving can be stressful but here Jenna made everything nice and smooth, it was fast and easy! On top of that the amenities and the area are great! I’m loving my new apartment.
