February 23, 2026Cortland North Plano it was excellent community and very beautiful even though Out look was not that great but inside the building beautiful, also the customer service and the front office team they’re really great people. We always felt like a home but very unfortunate that turned into a racist team that taking over, always mean to people who lived here, not care about the problems, behaves like they owned the property not understanding solutions for the renters are suffering situations. May 27, 2025From Great to Frustrating: How Management Changes Affected Our Living Experience: Please don't judge this apartment community solely by the Clubhouse, swimming pool, or model unit. The reality of the actual apartment units is quite different and comes with several issues. Below are my honest observations: 1. New Management Concerns When we moved into this community a couple of years ago, the previous management team treated us with great respect and support. Because of that positive experience, ...we even recommended Cortland North Plano to friends and colleagues. However, the management recently changed (about a month ago), and unfortunately, the experience has taken a drastic turn. We've heard of multiple instances — where residents were spoken to rudely or even threatened with immediate eviction, without courtesy. This behavior is disappointing, especially considering that many current tenants moved in due to positive word-of-mouth. The Cortland Corporate Team should investigate this shift and understand what originally made this community thrive. 2. Poor Wall Insulation & Window Leaks The apartment units lack proper insulation. Noise from outside is clearly heard through the walls, and many windows leak air, making the units uncomfortable — particularly during the winter months. We faced significant challenges keeping our home warm. 3. Limited Storage Space There are not enough shelves or storage options inside the units. This makes day-to-day living difficult, especially for families or individuals with more belongings. Additional storage solutions would be a great improvement. Final Note: We expected a higher standard from a community like Cortland North Plano, especially considering how well it started. May 28, 2025Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback regarding your experience as a resident of Cortland North Plano and for leaving a review based on what you've heard from others. It is never our goal for our residents to feel that they are being spoken to rudely. We also do not tolerate disrespect towards our team and will quickly end discussions when the tone is raised. As we all know, there is no threat of eviction for any residents, only warnings of the consequences for those who are out of compliance with their lease contracts and insist on remaining out of compliance. Regretfully, the consequences may include eviction in some cases but that's never our goal. Our goal is always to provide solutions and opportunity. The walls received new insulation during renovation which took place a few years ago. Hearing noise from outside of the home is quite common in multi-family living. Regretfully, it is impossible to not hear your surroundings when you share walls, ceilings, and ...floors with others especially in a city setting. Complete silence is near impossible. We do not see any service requests regarding your windows. Please do not hesitate to submit a request through your portal so our team can stop by to assess the windows and perform repairs if required. While we are not able to add any additional storage solutions to the homes outside of the scope of work for renovation, we can explore the option of renting a detached garage or could send you some great options for temporary storage that you can add to your home that do not alter or modify the home itself. We, too, hope that future residents understand the high standard of living that we are working to provide at Cortland North Plano, which is precisely the goal of new management.
