Mold in your air
July 26, 2025I would not recommend living here if you care about your health, I think the pictures speak for themselves. Cortland is refusing to test for mold (air quality test or swab test). It has been over a week since I first sent them the pictures and they had not offered to send out any remediation teams until yesterday. Although they are "getting a remediation team" to clean out the duct work and deal with the leak, they still refuse to test for mold after the cleaning to prove it is a safe living ...space. When the leak first showed up, I had to report it 3 separate times before anyone from maintenance came to my apartment. They then proceeded to just paint over it. I brought a moisture reader from work and showed them that the issue wasn't resolved, it has now been over a month and still hasn't been fixed. I then realized the maintenance team accidentally left my mechanical closet unlocked, that is when I discovered that the air filter hasn't been replaced in the entire year I have lived here. I also then discovered the black mold growing on it. As stated previously, Cortland refuses to test for mold and has repeatedly told me that the pictures just appear to be dirt and dust. They are not making an attempt to set things right for us after breathing mold throughout our HVAC system for a year. Do not live here if you value your long term health. March 30, 2025Cars have been getting broken into in the parking garage, 6 cars had their tires slashed and the office says there are only camera on the first floor. They do not care about their residents.Property Manager Responded

November 11, 2024Location due to walkability is good. Units are nice. Sadly I don't feel safe after my car was broken into and damaged while parked in the locked garage on the 3rd floor. Leasing was no help as they said there was no camera footage at all in the whole building. Good area, bad everything else
February 19, 2024Area is walkable but between neighbors and everything Cortland is doing, it's a loud and inconvenient construction zone. They also change policies frequently so you might end up with a towed car because they changed the way you're supposed to register them or a late rent because they change the dates of the month that the rental portal is open. October 13, 2023Wonderful place to live, and spectacular location!!! We just moved in last month and tbh couldn’t be happier with our decision to lease. Just like any building, there will always be one or two minor things that can be fixed. In our case, it’s the dishwasher (quite old and in its last months of life, but still works) and the windows (moderately rotted at the frames). Maintenance already has replacements for the windows in the works. That being said, Cortland just bought the building and is ...investing a bunch of money in capital improvements, which is likely to include the dishwashers. Now I have to say, it’s pretty impressive that Cortland is so aware of issues like these, even though they are pretty darn minor.
