Unsafe and Poorly Maintained "Community"
December 2, 2025I lived in a second-floor apartment here for three months, and the experience was extremely disappointing. The unit had a persistent bug problem during my entire stay, even after multiple attempts to manage it. Construction on the main road outside the property has been ongoing for over a year, often blocking entrances and making it difficult to access the building. Bus stops also changed without warning. Despite this, the pricing does not reflect the inconveniences. Several packages were stolen ...from outside our door, and one of my roommate’s packages even went missing from the package room. The gym is very small, poorly equipped, and not practical for regular use. The surrounding area also felt unsafe, with multiple incidents of car break-ins in the parking garage while we lived there. Our monthly bills were frequently incorrect and required repeated corrections to remove charges that didn’t apply. Communication with management was difficult, and interactions often felt dismissive and unprofessional. Management also frequently contacted only my roommate, even though we were both on the lease, causing me to miss important updates and information throughout my stay. Clean Units, But Garage Safety Is a Concern
July 2, 2025Good apartment unit, clean and quiet. I’ve lived here for over a year with no issues until my car was vandalized in the underground garage. Found out a garage door lock had been broken for months. Management was dismissive when I raised concerns, brushed off camera requests, and wouldn’t share corporate contacts. February 4, 2025Top floor apartments are fine. Anything below is subjected to the creaking and excessively loud subfloors that require repair. Maintenance team is exceptional, they’ll fix anything immediately. Leasing office and management are great too. Unfortunately it’s the building itself that isn’t. It’s beyond their control, but it is what it is. I had a unit that had excessive noise transmissed through the floor. Instead of it being vacant after I transferred (until repairs are made), it was re-listed at ...$200/m more. I feel bad for whoever ends up there and has to put up with it.Property Manager Responded

Noise + Bug Issues
August 13, 2024Coming up on ~6 months. I will not be renewing. It’s impossible to accurately convey how easily noise carries between floors. I haven’t heard a single conversation but I can hear *literally* every step my neighbor takes. I’ve also found roaches 3 times (albeit dead). Decrepit building + random policies and unresponsive leasing staff
March 11, 2023Gates Hudson promotes a renovated building, but at best it's remodeled. Units look nice but fall apart. You can expect mold, leaks, broken appliances (e.g., no heat in winter, no hot water). You can expect significant delays in repairs. You can expect an unresponsive leasing staff that won't email you back - they prefer you call so nothing is in writing. They charge amenity fees but your balcony is wood rotten/unavailable for 1/2 your lease and the gym is cramped + small. You can expect a broken ...garage door almost every other day, and your rent to go up 10-20%. Truly an awful place to live.Property Manager Responded
