Smooth Viewings and Move-in Experience
February 3, 2026The estate feels incredibly safe and peaceful—there’s a serene vibe with the pond, ducks, and squirrels that makes it feel like a retreat. The gated parking and well-kept amenities were a huge plus for me, and the rooms are very well-priced for the quality you get. I have to give a huge shoutout to my leasing agent, Lance. I’d heard he was a standout, and meeting him in person reinforced all the positive Google reviews I've read. She was incredibly kind during our tour and made sure all the move-in instructions were clear and easy to follow. I'm disappointed
July 10, 2023I feel like I got tricked because I was promised something that hasn't been delivered to me at all. This place is really dirty and stinks all the time. And it's so noisy 24/7. I've always lived in buildings but this is so loud, no insulation. I tried to get help but they just told my neighbor I complained and now they're even louder even banging on my doors. You have kids and teens waiting outside the pool for someone to let them in with keys so we can't bring our own kids to swim or enjoy ...anything. I better not see the standard reply from someone that doesn't even work here below. Your staff is rude! They cause more problems than they solveProperty Manager Responded

UNSAFE UNCLEAN UNLIVABLE
June 7, 2023Can't wait to leave. Gates are broken, and doors always open. Mailbox broken into. Smells like trash and sewer. Vents connected in units so you smells all the cooking and cigarette smell. Cheap motel at luxury prices
June 2, 2023Cheap motel at luxury prices. You will never again know peace and quiet. You will not sleep. Don't expect to be able to work remotely from your home. This place is used for tech companies to house their workers temporarily, so there is constant noise from movers and builders and cleaners. Despite offering "quiet hours", these rules are often broken by property managers themselves, as they allow gardeners, cleaners, and builders to begin work at 6am--even on the weekends. Noisy neighbor issues ...will be ignored by staff and management, and you will be treated rudely. Your rent will be high, and raised whenever possible. You won't be able to enjoy any amenities, such as the pool. The pool is used by the staff for their own families, who don't live here. Any restaurants/stores nearby close at 2pm during the week, and aren't open on the weekend. Not worth it. Unsafe for your vehicle, as the gate is always broken. All gates are broken for most of the property, so your packages and mail won't be safe either.Property Manager Responded

Basement Garage Security
December 20, 2022I spent Thanksgiving 2022 at the Elan Village Lane complex. The apartments are classy and top notch with a gated entrance and beautiful balcony views. However, as I was headed back to the lower basement garage, I noticed broken glass strewn around my vehicle. During the early morning hours, a thief had broken the passenger side window and stole personal belongings. I was shocked, to say the least. I think the basement garage could use some cameras, especially since the main parking area ...lacks security and is accessible to anyone.Property Manager Responded

Overall fantastic experience! Great place to live!
March 26, 2018We saw at least 20 different apartments before deciding on moving to Elan and we are extremely happy with our choice of the Elan at River Oaks community and particularly our sunny apartment . The building is really clean, well maintained and incredibly quiet. The shopping carts on parking lot is a huge bonus. The views from our apartment are spectacular (lakes, fountains, huge trees) it is quiet, very private. The staff and front desk are extremely friendly and often go out of their way to ...help. We have not had any major maintenance problems in our apartment the past year, but maintenance requests completed very promptly, the maintenance staff was efficient in fixing the minor problems we have had. As former resident I can name all pros and cons: Pros: * stuff is awesome and always have a great attitude * beautiful landscape with fountains and lakes (with lovely cute ducks) * plenty of parking spots on two levels * shopping carts on parking * AC outlet on some parking spots (very easy to vacuum a car) * awesome gyms ( two of them are not crowded even in peak hours) * washer and dryer in unit (actually on your patio! so you won't even hear the noise) * free tennis lessons * !!! MOVE - OUT PROCESS was very smooth and friendly. We've got whole our deposit back (except cleaning fee, which is very-very reasonable) Cons: - Not the newest building (but still great) - Club house is accessible 9 am - 6 pm (not 24/7) - After moving out you'll going to miss this community Overall fantastic experience!Read MoreReview from Apartments.com

August 9, 2015Great space to live in. Positives - The apartments are spacious, fire places, kitchens are great, outdoor space is very well maintained, beautiful surroundings, 3 pools, tennis courts. Negatives - Little maze like - everything looks the same and easy to get lost, only 1 lift on each side of the building, our apartment gets no satellite connectivity so cant get direct tv etc.Review from Apartments.com

Not bad, but better choices out there
September 1, 2015I've been living in a studio here for the past 2 years, and if you're looking for a quiet apartment with decent amenities this isn't a bad choice. However, with the recent rent increases, it is now comparable with newer and nicer apartments in the area. With many great amenities from three pools to which includes a lap pool, cardio & weight room to tennis courts; Elan at River oaks is an enjoyable and relaxing place to live.
