Emory Lakes is a great property with great amenities. There is a 24/7 gym, wifi lounge, dog park, walking/jogging trails, etc. The property is located in a quieter side of Topeka with not a lot of excess traffic. The move-in process was very easy and organized. The office staff made the whole process very easy. Emory Lakes has been AMAZING!! We moved here fairly suddenly and Keli in the leasing office made our move so easy and smooth. She is very responsive and definitely goes the extra mile to help the residents. The maintenance staff is also always willing to help and answer any questions we may have. We all know when looking for apartments online that pictures can be deceiving or can present a better concept than it actually is. But NOT IN THIS CASE.
I moved from Florida and did not get the chance to actually see the apartment in person before moving in, but the staff was great at providing on-time information and materials like walk-thru videos that showed exactly what to expect.

Fake luxury

Live here currently. This is very expensive apartment and claims it’s luxury. The appliances and fixtures are as cheap as they come. The property manager is completely fake and pretends to be super accommodating in the beginning. We have had a broken screen door since the beginning they came and “fixed” it but it was glorified ducktape and jesus fix job. When we called about it snapping she said we were responsible for the cheap door breaking. She said it’s a consistent issue amongst residents ...
not closing their doors but fails to see that if everyone is struggling with the doors then maybe it’s the cheap doors. I have no problem paying for the door but this is just a small example of how petty this place is. My family and I are good tenants who pay on time or early. Clean up our messes and get along with our neighbors. We will move when our lease comes up because I’ve had better landlords and property managers for half the price of this apartment complex. Many tenants share the same concerns and are just waiting for the lease date to be up.

Regarding your screen door, we have one work order on file from November that was addressed and hadn’t heard from you again until yesterday. Yesterday you notified us that your door hadn’t been latching for some time and caught the wind, causing damage that didn’t allow your door to close at all. Maintenance was there within minutes to remove the broken door and it will be replaced as soon as possible. We don’t have any work orders regarding your appliances or fixtures. If you have a service request, please submit via the resident portal so we can address it. Our team takes great pride in their work and are quick to respond to all resident requests, but we can’t properly address a new or continuing issue if it isn’t brought to our attention in a timely manner. Lots of great amenities like a fitness room, WiFi lounge, dog park and barbecue areas. Quiet neighborhood, unmatched scenery that you won’t find anywhere else in Topeka. Attentive and respectful management. Quick to respond to maintenance requests and emergencies. Great pricing considering the exclusivity of the area and how in demand hosing in the Seaman district is.
