Nice property, dedicated management, but junk charge on rent bill

If you rent there, they automatically sign you up for a credit reporting service that costs an extra $10 a month. This is buried in lease addenda (about the seventh of those), and that fee is in small print in a bullet point in the middle of a page of text. What it also says in small print is that it is UP TO YOU TO OPT OUT IF YOU DON'T WANT TO PAY THIS.
How about letting people opt IN if they want to pay this garbage fee and otherwise keeping junk charges off tenants' rent bills

I did opt out, but of course only after having found the junk charge on a rent bill. The opt out process took me more than 15 minutes, because I had to first create an account with that service and give them a ton of my personal information.
Too bad they decided to do this, because otherwise this is a great community and the management is very dedicated towards tenants.
