cost cutting at residents’ expense

It’s ironic that the Birdie Apartments leasing office stays around 73°F in the middle of July (or even colder) while the apartment building’s common areas are routinely kept above 80°F, which feels like a cost cutting measure at residents’ expense. I’ve lived here for 2 years, and a new management company recently took over. Unfortunately, I haven’t been impressed with either the previous management or the current one. If you’re relocating from out of state, I’d recommend looking at other ...
options before signing here. Rent has increased, yet the property still lacks amenities that many similarly priced complexes offer. Specifically, the complex is not secure; anyone from off the street can walk into the apartment buildings. Additionally, there’s no gym, no covered parking or garage, no package lockers for deliveries, and overall the value just isn’t there. There are several other apartment communities in town that offer better amenities for the same price or less.

Clean and friendly. Beautiful views. Plenty of parking and a great outdoor pool that’s kid friendly. Clubhouse is nice and easily accessible. Security is keyless which is convenient. Rent is pricy but amenities are affordable.

I love the location and the office staff, but I do have a few issues. The main one being that each year our rent increases but our amenities decrease. For example with my lease this year my rent increased by ~$100, but the property discontinued the internet service. I also wish we could choose to opt into other amenities such as the rec center, which I pay for and don't use.

I’ve lived in these apartments on two different occasions and can say the living quality has declined. I previously would have recommended these apartments to anyone as I loved living here and moved back myself. Since moving back they have updated their security/entry system which is very glitchy and unreliable. I don’t live on the ground level and have a lot of anxiety exiting the building.
