Average apartments, with room for improvement.
November 8, 2025These apartments aren't bad, but there's certainly room for improvement. If amenities are important to you, then you'd be happy with what they offer. A pool, coffee station and a laundromat are all located on-site. A small fenced in area for the dog owners would be nice. Unfortunately maintenance has been shoddy during my time here, especially when it comes to the AC, which makes for frustrating Summers when I need to run the AC. My most recent request unrelated to the AC was handled with ...much more professionalism and pride, so perhaps things are improving. Staff seems to change much more than other apartments I've rented from, so that's been confusing. The landscaping is acceptable and the area is relatively quiet. I've never had any problems with the neighbors. The complex is quite dark at night, which is a safety concern. There are not a lot of outdoor lights, and many of the lights they do have have had burnt out bulbs for quite some time. As far as inside the units go, there are imperfections, but it could be much worse. There isn't a lot of natural light in the main living area as the only window is the door to the balcony, which of course is shaded by the roof. All in all, these apartment are decent, with room to be improved. For the price, you could certainly find worse places to live.Property Manager Responded

We are pleased to hear that you are enjoying our on-site amenities, including the pool and coffee station. We also appreciate you noting the recent improvement in maintenance service on your non-AC request—we are continually working to raise the standard of our service, and your feedback confirms those efforts are starting to make a difference. However, we sincerely apologize for the frustration and inconvenience caused by inconsistent maintenance, especially concerning your AC unit during the summer. This is unacceptable, and we are taking immediate steps to address this: AC Concerns: We have recently implemented new protocols and training focused specifically on urgent mechanical issues like AC repair to ensure they are resolved quickly and effectively the first time. ...Please reach out to the office immediately so we can verify the status of your AC and ensure a qualified technician provides a lasting solution. Safety and Lighting: Your concern about the limited and burned-out exterior lighting is a critical safety issue that we take very seriously. We are dispatching our maintenance team today to audit all exterior lighting across the property and replace all burnt-out bulbs. We will also evaluate the current lighting scheme to determine where additional fixtures may be necessary. Staffing Consistency: We recognize that staff changes can be confusing and disruptive. We are focused on building a stable, high-performing team to serve our residents and are implementing measures to improve retention and ensure our new team members are fully trained to provide excellent service. Dog Area: Thank you for the suggestion regarding a small fenced dog area. We will be adding this to our list of potential capital improvements as we plan for next year. We are committed to making Forest Grove more than just "decent"—we aim to make it an excellent place to call home. We appreciate you sticking with us while we work through these improvements. Awesome experience, loved it!
August 2, 2024This was my first apartment, and I lived here for two years. Maintenance was always very prompt and attentive, the people in the head office always very responsive and helpful, excellent locale with the lovely trees that make it feel very cosy. I did my very best to keep it nice and upon move-out got my security deposit back no problem. Also, the walls are very thick so I heard virtually nothing from my neighbors; even when dogs barked on occasion, it was so quiet it wasn't really a bother. ...Truly, the only reason I moved out is because I was moving in with my fiance and he wanted a place with washer/dryer hookups. A fantastic experience and I'm so glad I chose this place for my first apartment!Property Manager Responded
