Near-Perfect Place To Live

I'm moving out soon after almost 5 years living here & I've had a great experience. For starters, management & staff are great. The rare times I had issues with hot water or heat (only 3 times in 5 years), maintenance fixed it within a few hours. Any time I needed to get in touch with the front office, they were very helpful & timely. fenced dog park, added a basketball hoop, resurfaced the tennis court, upgraded the mailboxes, added a mail room for USPS (USPS doesn't deliver packages to our doors, so you'd have to drive to the post office to pick up previously), and much more. The units are extremely noise insulated; I rarely ever hear anything from neighbors. These units are a great value as well. The buildings may not feel super modern, but they are well kept & units feel spacious, making this place one of the best bangs for your buck in the area. Utilities are very reliable. Great responsiveness to winter weather. Lawns & landscaping are well kept. Lots of good walking space within the complex. Very quiet and peaceful area, both around the complex and around this area of town. A couple downsides, though. Their new fire alarm system is awful, and has false alarms way too regularly. They seemed to partially resolve it, as it used to go off essentially every day for a couple months straight, but now is maybe once a month. Still, it gets set off by shower steam, which shouldn't happen with a quality smoke detection system, and makes it a bit more frustrating when it does happen. Secondly, there are tons of dogs that break the apartments' rules. People are clearly bringing in dogs without front office approval. There are incredibly aggressive dogs, prohibited breeds, dogs way under the 1 year age minimum, dogs way over the 75 lb weight limit, and dogs that aren't neutered. I've had a couple close calls and even a minor injury with my dog as a result of dogs that are, without question, not abiding by apartment rules. I've been lucky to have nothing serious come out of these encounters, but perhaps they should be cracking down on their dog rules before something bad happens.

Great Place to Live

Lived here for 1.5+ years in a one bedroom and have no complaints. Maintenance is particularly quick - I usually had a staff member in my apartment the same day or within 24 hours of placing a ticket. Front office staff is understanding and easy to work with. New Berlin is a great, quiet town and the complex is just down the road from a Pick 'n Save. I see a lot of young professionals and families here. I never had any issues with noise or neighbors. My apartment was spacious with vaulted ...
