Ongoing neighbour complaints, feeling unheard by Management.
June 12, 2026 - Review from Apartments.comI’m writing this review with a heavy heart because moving here was something I genuinely looked forward to. Unfortunately, our experience as a young couple has been very disappointing. Since moving in, we have received multiple complaints from neighbours regarding noise. While we understand and respect the importance of maintaining a peaceful environment, we have consistently felt that our side of the story was not given the same consideration. As a young married couple, the little time we get ...together in the evenings should not feel like something we need to constantly worry about. At times, even normal conversations, laughter, or spending time together felt as though they could become grounds for another complaint. Living under that kind of pressure has been emotionally exhausting. What hurt us most was feeling unheard. We responded to concerns, attempted communication, and sought clarification, but our efforts did not seem to receive the same attention as the complaints themselves. Whether intentional or not, we were left feeling isolated and unsupported throughout the process. To future residents, especially young couples and people from diverse backgrounds, I sincerely hope your experience is better than ours. I hope you find understanding neighbours, open communication, and a management team willing to hear all sides before reaching conclusions. This review is not written out of anger, but out of disappointment. I simply wanted to share our experience so others can make an informed decision and so that perhaps future residents will feel more heard than we did.Read MoreProperty Manager Responded
July 6, 2026Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are sorry to hear that your brief time in our community has left you feeling disappointed and unheard. Our goal is to provide a comfortable and welcoming home for all residents while balancing the needs of everyone in the community. When concerns are brought to our attention, we have a responsibility to investigate and address them. We appreciate your feedback as resident feedback helps us evaluate our approach and identify opportunities to improve how we communicate and address concerns.
Dirty and shabby
March 4, 2025 - Review from Apartments.comThe lobbies are an embarrassment out of the sixties. Carpets are filthy and ugly. Don't bring your friends through the front door. The building doesn't like to spend money, picking bargain basement end-rolls and wallpaper. Nothing matches. There are cockroaches I discovered last year just after moving in. The building fails to address the issue.Property Manager Responded
April 14, 2025Thank you for taking the time to leave a review regarding the building. While the building interior finishes may be a little dated, the building is clean and well maintained. If you have experienced an issue with pests, it is crucial for you to notify the on-site office so that it can be addressed, we take pest control very seriously in the building. Feel free to reach out to our Property Management team should you wish to discuss these issues further.
Don't live here - Above Guideline Rent Increases
June 20, 2024 - Review from Apartments.comBeware – M&R Holdings does Above Guideline Rent Increases every five years. If you can afford to pay these massive increases on top of the already jacked up prices, you can afford to live somewhere that isn’t basically a run down ‘70s motel. If you work from home, are retired or stay home with young children, good luck. The noise from repairs is constant. Not improvements, never improvements. Just necessary repairs because of the absolute neglect of the building since M&R Holdings took ...over. Plus the visitor parking lots are constantly repurposed and not usable for tenant visitors. We've been locked out of our balconies for months, no sign of work starting (or proof it is even needed) Not to mention the incredibly rude head office staff who behave as though they are doing you a favour by taking your thousands of dollars every month and who communicate exclusively via nasty letter, full of venom but no actual information. It’s a shame. This used to be a really nice place to call home. Those days are long gone. Now I’m embarrassed to have visitors it is in such a poor state.Read More
