  • Be aware of overcharging

    April 29, 2024
Great location to greenlake and amenities are ok. Gym does not have lots of weight options. PLEASE document scuffs and painting marks on move in. I wish I read reviews before about this they will charge you for painting the apartment and cleaning fees regardless. You will not get your deposit back unless they just painted your place before you moved in. The doors constantly went out and you would be stuck outside for a few minutes. This happened multiple times and they eventually would have ...
maintenance help open the door manually. Very inconvenient and unsafe when it happened at night. Great neighbors and dog friendly

  • Finding the right home

    February 20, 2022
I’m very thankful to Armando in the leasing office for being so helpful through this process! His patience in helping me find the right unit made me so excited to live here. The MFTE application was confusing at times but he was there every step of the way. Can’t recommend Armando and Green Lake Village enough!

  • Above and Beyond!

    December 17, 2020
Wow! Where to start..an absolutely 5+ star rockstar team over at Greenlake Village. My previous housing situation was an very stressful making it a very hard time to move (amongst a pandemic as well) but the team here more than outweighed that stress in their extremely positive, prompt, and proactive natures that I consistently encountered across the board. Not only does Greenlake Village have everything and anything that I could possibly hope for in a place to live in terms of amenities, ...
location, and upkeep but it was really the stellar group of people that run this place that helped make me feel at home where I call home. I’d recommend living here to any friends of mine, in fact I already have!

  • DO NOT LIVE HERE

    October 24, 2017
This place has been a horrible experience. Sure greenlake is close by and that is a huge plus but it comes at a terrible price. THE RED HEN is ruining my peace and quiet every night. Even with the windows closed we have country music BLASTING into our apartment. The unit is ALWAYS hot. I literally wake up every night sweating because its so hot. The homeless and crimes around here are getting bad. We consistently have security patrolling the building. At first it was great, but the issues ...
keep ramping up. Cant wait to get out of here! PS - as I am writing this the red hen is blasting live karaoke through my window. Seriously NEGATIVE 5 stars

Toured here with Jenn. It's a gorgeous property and she was a pleasure to work with. Wound up needing to move to greenwood for work reasons, but totally would have landed here if circumstances were right. Courteous staff and amazing amenities!

  • Safety concerns

    August 7, 2017
nitially, I thought living here was a dream come true--I raved and raved about my gorgeous apartment in a prime location. In the past month or so, my opinion of this apartment community has deescalated extremely rapidly to the point in which I don't even wish to return home any longer. There have been some extremely serious safety breeches that have occurred in which residents have been placed in imminent danger. I am terrified to go to sleep at night, wondering when I will next be woken up by ...
incessant fire alarm pulling (sometimes 3 times in one night), be exposed to actual fire (which has occurred twice), or be exposed to a resident throwing blunt objects at passersby from the rooftop. I have had to evacuate and stay elsewhere with my pets multiple times in the past month in order to have even minimal piece of mind. Management has been unresponsive and unaccommodating to residents during this difficult time and many of us are trapped living here; stuck in leases with atrocious financial repercussions if broken, while remaining terrified to be at home. It's a living nightmare. I emulate what the last few reviews below me have reported--the "luxury" of Green Lake Village is just a facade.

  • Do your homework before renting from here or the Eddy!

    June 27, 2017
The friendly leasing staff and the beautiful complex will draw you in, but don't be fooled! The place is ridiculously expensive and seems to have amenities that make it worth it, but I assure you that they are not. The gym is small and doesn't have adequate weights. The community space is often reserved. The roof top deck has a broken grill. The parking garage is awful trying to park in after work because of the PCC rush. And there are quite a few hidden move out costs that aren't obvious at ...
lease signing (mandatory wall re-paint fees/mandatory carpet cleaning fee/mandatory professional cleaning fee all totaling well over $400 despite the apartment being left in pristine condition.) They will also charge you for turn around time while they do all of the services you will be paying for while they prepare this property for another renter. The place has paper thin ceilings that allow you to hear *everything* that your neighbors are doing above you. The noise from the PCC loading dock in the East building is absurd and won't be mentioned anywhere before signing a lease. They are unable to alter the end dates of the lease prior to signing to make it a better fit for your life circumstances because this is determined by "corporate." Despite adequate notice to vacate to begin marketing the apartment, we were told it had been leased and then after leaving Seattle suddenly their story changed and we were forced to pay over a month and a half of rent after our actual move-out because the place was "vacant". It's been nothing but a frustrating experience since day one, so spare your checkbook and your stress level. Be happy you read this review before renting! I would strongly suggest taking your hard earned cash somewhere else.

  • Horrible experience moving out

    February 7, 2017
I had previously posted a glowing review of GLV and unfortunately my experience has since changed. Recently, GLV has come under new management who have made a once amazing building into something much different. As a model tenant, I paid every rent check on time (and as many reviews show, this place isn't cheap). On my last month of residence, I reached out to the leasing office since they billed me for the incorrect amount. They finally figured out that they forgot to pro-rate but ...
unfortunately the online payment portal would not allow the pro-rated rate. Long story short, due to their horrible communication they are now telling me that I owe several late fees. This is all after I have provided them with THEIR staff's written correspondence giving me the OK to mail in a check. The front office is bad and the property management is even worse. For any one thinking of leasing here, I'd wait till someone else buys them out.

  • Worst Apt Experience Even

    May 5, 2016
Convenient property but STAY AWAY. (2 middle aged professionals:)Horrible noise and property management. Had to break our lease due to a threatening neighbor. The situation was never managed appropriately for 6 months. Juvenile, unprofessional, management bumbled it at every move. Head office was rude, worthless to deal with. Wouldn't listen to our concerns at all. They charged us for ‘excessive wear and tear’ although there wasn’t any or any identified on pre inspection. They charged for a full ...
repaint although it wasn’t required. They claimed damage. Horrible construction. Internal noise and EXTERNAL noise was horrible. Management made us pay for two extra weeks of rent although the property was already leased. Charged us for turnaround time. Noise was never managed effectively. ROASTING in the summer. New build with lots of glass and no A/C

  • It's a shame

    August 14, 2015
It's a beautiful building with great amenities and appliances, but it was not well designed. I only have two small windows which open about 6 inches, so it's impossible to get any cross breeze. My apartment is 80 degrees at 6AM with the windows open. Also the problem with sleeping with your windows open is the country western bar across the street which plays live music 7 nights a week, gets incredibly loud. They been there for over 50 years, so there not going anyway anytime soon. This could ...
have been an amazing building to live in, but fell short in a couple of critical areas (not being able to cool down the apartment and getting a good night sleep being a huge one)!

  • Poor management and noisy

    August 7, 2015
Building is under new management with new policies and poor communication. They launched a new community portal but no one knows it's up because the only approach they used was to send a mass email to tenants (from an email address we've never received email communications from). Didn't post memos in elevators or do door drops. The old system was pulled down so everyone has to drop off physical checks to pay rent. Office staff is disorganized and not accommodating. Also, all units facing the park ...
are really noisy because they are across from the Little Red Hen, a bar that has live Country music and karaoke every night. It's more than 50 decibels with the windows shut. Price for these apartments isn't adjusted for the noise disturbance. Also, very strict on packages and how long they will hold them. If not picked up quickly, they will return the package. Not worth the money. I recommend Circa instead, just down the street.
