Worst place to live during a pandemic!
October 22, 2020I'm a person who spends most of my time outside the home. This community is not acceptable even when you spend most of your time outside your home. There were many times that I came home to realize that bath tub and toilet is flooded and the sewage found its way to the living area! In one instance we had to wait the entire day for someone to come and fix it. I've changed the shower curtain 2-3 times by now! But the real horror begins when you actually start to live/work in your home during the ...pandemic! The walls are so thin that you can hear your neighbors talking or even when their cellphones vibrates. Let alone when the kids scream or they do other things! But the worst part for me was when they started to do construction work on the unit above. The noise is so unbearable that I had to either cancel my zoom/webex meetings or go to my car so I can hear or talk. Let alone the embarrassment of the other colleagues keep telling me that there is a very bad noise coming from my side! The situation is so unlivable that I can't get my work done. When I complained, the answer was that construction work is part of your contract so live with it. This construction situation is still going on to this day! I'm seriously thinking about paying the penalty and breaking the lease so I can at least maintain my sanity! Do yourself a favor and stay away!Property Manager Responded
November 12, 2020I regret to hear of the frustrations you are having. From time to time maintenance issues can arise in apartment living. The on-site team and maintenance staff take all reported issues seriously and ensure that each issue is addressed in a timely manner. We do understand and take into consideration that many residents are now working from home and the renovation projects can have an impact on those who may need a quieter work environment. Work does need to continue so that we can prepare apartment homes for the new incoming residents; however, the rental office may be able to provide information about when the renovation on a specific unit should be complete, including which days noise is expected. Thank you for allowing us to address your concerns.

Nice apartment and locality
September 10, 2020I moved here in May 2019 after looking around many apartments near by. The leasing staff were very helpful in entire process. pros : Nice layout really a garden like community. close to shopping complexes. huge patio. renovated units. cons: missing in unit washer dryer in 1bed apartment. overall highly recommended.Property Manager Responded

Apartments are good but has few safety issues
April 14, 2020Pros: 1. Maintenance staff is good. 2. Good amenities like Gym, Hub and TT table. Cons: 1. Property managers are not helpful. At times she gives wrong information. 2. Safety issues as heard few cases of apartment and car breaking in. 3. Apartment is small and has limited storage space.Property Manager Responded

It’s not that safe
September 11, 2019There’s no gate and people come knocking on my door asking for money and if I don’t give it to them they curse and try and provoke me. Big scary guys doing this at night. The place looks nice but there’s zero security it sucks. I’m leaving ASAP.Property Manager Responded
October 23, 2019Thank you for your comments. We regret that you were exposed to such an unpleasant experience. Soliciting is not allowed on our property, and we would urge residents not to open their doors to people they do not know. I believe you may be referring to an incident a few weeks ago where a man was soliciting on the property and falsely claimed that he had permission from the office to be there. A resident notified the office that this person was on the property, but at the time he could not be located. Later that same day the manager happened to find a person on the property who appeared to be soliciting, and he fit the description that was given to the office earlier that day. The manager informed him that soliciting was not allowed on the property, and that she had notified the police of his presence there. The man then left our property, and to our knowledge he has not been spotted on our property since that incident. Halford Gardens is a beautiful community with lush landscaping ...and modern, updated apartment homes, located in a great location in West Santa Clara. It is regrettable that the actions of a person who was trespassing on our property has soured your experience as a resident of our community.

Great Location, Friendly Staff, Beautiful apartment!
June 28, 2019This is my second year living here and I have to say the apartment managers, Lily and Julie are super friendly and helpful! They make living here truly feel like home! The hardwood floors are exactly what I've been looking for, as I do not like carpeted apartments. The apartment is furnished with stainless steel appliances and a generous Patio/Yard area. The "Hub" is a great place to study and work from home, which is super important for me, as I do both. There is always plenty of parking both ...within the complex and on the street. This is a great location, right off of two major expressways and freeways! There are more then enough communal washing machines which also take card, so I do not need to scramble for quarters every time i need to do laundry. Amazing Apartments with Friendly Staff
June 19, 2019This apartment complex is lovely and the staff are a pleasure to work with. I was planning on moving into one of the town homes they have available when personal circumstances changed that required I find a place in San Jose. Great Location and Environment
September 28, 2015The apartments are located at El Camino Real which makes it very near to a host of offices in Mountain View. It's right beside Lawrence Expressway making it easy to connect to various Freeways. The maintenance people do a great job and fix things within a day or two maximum. And are available at all hours if its an emergency. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is that it doesn't have 2B/2B apartments, only 2B/1B and townhouses.Property Manager Responded

beautiful apartment with excellent service and amenities
July 21, 2015I stay in a single bedroom upstairs apartment (620 sq ft) at Halford Gardens. All the apartments here are structured such that there is good ventilation with beautiful landscaping all around the apartments. The kitchen is a bit small in my apartment but adequate. The downstairs units have a big private patio whereas the upstairs units have a balcony of decent size. All complaints/requests, if any, are attended to without delay. The amenities include two pools, gym and a children's play area and ...are never crowded. Perhaps the best thing is the close proximity to Lucky, Starbucks, Rangoli, Orchard Supply Hardware, Big Lots and bus stops besides a range of restaurants.
