I would not recommend this place unless you need the location to get to campus. Management was horrible, we got overcharged on rent on a few occasions, one of our neighbors had squatters when they moved in, and it was obvious none of the apartments were taken care of or cleaned prior to move in. Bugs were a continuous problem and calling the main office never actually provided real help. The only redeeming quality about this place is the proximity to campus. This is just another apartment complex ...

Overcharged rent, took them a month to give me back the money. Apartment was unclean and bug infested at move in. Bad insulation and sketchy area, poor management. Resident cars are towed without warning even with a parking pass. I’d suggest looking somewhere else.

Hello, I signed a lease for an apartment at Hawks Pointe II in March. Me and my roommate weren't 100% sure about this apartment but they pressured us to sign the lease that day. We were worried and asked if we could have a copy of a lease to take home to discuss with our parents. They told us no and that we should just go ahead and sign now otherwise we would probably miss out on the place. We asked them what we would have to do to get out of a lease and they told us we'd have to pay a $250 fee ...
and that would break the lease. Well, fast forward a few months later. We ended up not being able to live and needed to break the lease. We though, "oh well, just cut our losses it only $250." When we went in to pay our fee to break the lease, they collected the money and THEN told us that unless we found someone to take over the lease, we would be responsible for the rent until someone took over our lease!! You can image the stress we felt due to the fact we didn't know anyone in the area to take over the lease. I do not recommend living here. First of all, we obviously had this MAJOR problem with the information given to us by the staff. Second, there are much nicer placer in Lawrence that are actually CHEAPER!

The one bedroom apartments at this complex are a nice, cozy size. There are built in shelves within the closet which is very convenient for storage. The bathroom is larger than most would expect it to be. There is plenty of cabinet space within to kitchen. The windows provide a lot of natural light during the day which helps save on the price of electricity. The clubhouse has a nice sized outdoor pool with comfortable chairs, a gym, a game room, and a tanning bed so close to home. Internet is ...
