You are told things up front then when things happen, all of a sudden nobody said that, As soon as I moved in I realized repairs were not done from previous renter. one night I was awoken to a knock on the door at 3am because of a gas leak, the next morning I smelled gas so I called, I was told there was no leak and everything was ok. Around 1pm that day I received a phone call because somebody smelled gas near my apartment, Turns out there was a gas leak. The ceiling above my kitchen leaked
...and dropped into my apartment twice. The first time they were out within an hour. The second time which was about 2 months later same spot, I messaged head of maintenance and they said how bad is it could it wait til tomorrow, as water is dripping into my apartment so I told them probably not because water is dripping into the apartment, nobody showed up until noon the next day. I called the office to speak to somebody I was told to contact “MAGGIE” the CEO turns out she probably doesn’t exist, I left a message on answering machine with no return call. I was late on rent a few days which was my fault, but I came home to a big yellow embarrassing note on the door to vacate because of late rent “ONE TIME” I bought a house during my lease because this place turned me off completely on apartment living, I called to discuss my options and they said one thing then I called a month later to rediscuss after I found a home. I was told something completely different after I already was set up for closing on my home. The office girls don’t know anything, of course I asked to speak to a manager after this incident, left a message for Maggie again and of course no return phone call. Every time something goes wrong they tell you to call this phantom MAGGIE person who to this point I believe isn’t even a real person. But to top it off I was told that leaving a lease early I could wait til somebody rents it out and pay rent until then, but regardless I wouldn’t pay more than 2 months rent. So I spent a few hours scrubbing and cleaning before move out so it would be ready for renters. I just received a final bill with charges for carpet cleaning in the while apartment which there was only one spot by kitchen that needed it, 5 dollars to replace a lightbulb, 10 dollars to put smoke detectors back up which were sitting on counter. 25 dollars to clean a fridge that I scrubbed. And to top it off they are charging me the rest of my lease for rent. Do not move here.
