Negligent management not worth the nice amenities

I was a tenant at Hendry Place for three almost four years and had no problems until the building sold to a new management company; Brookfield Properties an American company. They are inept which snowballed into negligent. I reported noise violations for six plus months to no resolution. Management claimed “they couldn’t do anything.” Which is preposterous it’s literally their job. The noise complaints escalated to harassment when this one problem tenant decided to display a hate symbol to the ...
Jewish community on their patio as decoration. Management still did not pursue eviction of this one unstable and hateful neighbour of mine who blasted music every single day for hours on end it shook our shared wall and I could hear it/feel the bass of it from every room in my apartment unit. I was left with no other choice I no longer felt safe in my own home and had not had peaceful enjoyment of my home for 6+ months - management made it clear that they were not going to do anything. I had to move. It was so sad because I loved that neighbourhood and the nice amenities but it wasn’t worth the mental distress. I highly suggest not moving here unless you want to be ignored and overcharged. Only while Kammil was manager was this building habitable. The building has so much potential. *note: there is no air conditioning

These townhouses “look” beautiful from pictures. The management will tell you you have the most amazing views prior to moving in and then stick you with a view of a giant tree and now there’s a huge apartment complex right next to it so you can look right inside those places. They say you’re paying for luxury but the floors, walls and finishing are CHEAP and cracked. The walls are painted so poorly you can see the streaks and paint color difference. If your washer or dryer breaks, they send you ...
to use an empty unit (there are lots now) instead of replacing or fixing it. This can go on for weeks. If you want to reserve the amenity room (table, chairs, tv, microwave) they CHARGE you (upwards of $250) Not a deposit, a fee. ON TOP of the outrageous rent they are already charging. Parking? $100-$125 per spot in an underground parking lot. The second safety/security gate has been broken for almost the entire time the building was built. This place is so poorly managed by an American company that does not know what they’re doing and doesn’t care. If it snows? You’re stranded. They will not provide snow shoveling services. If it rains and water gets into places and pushes an excessive amount of worms onto your front step, they won’t do anything. The giant weed garden at one of the entrances filled with thistle and dried, dead plants is an eyesore. When we moved in, we were one of the last ones to fill it up. After we moved in. it was a trickle of people moving out, one by one people realized what a scam this place was. Their units never got filled for months, some not at all. Constant rotation of tenants, some not even there for a year. You can do find better. Save your money.
