I recommend do not rent
February 22, 2025I would not recommend Heritage at Lakeside in Plano, Texas to anyone especially seniors or those looking for a well-maintained living environment. My mother is elderly parent livered here and my experience was unacceptable. I had maintenance issue that were ignored and failed to address serious issues like leaks and bug issue and mold and etc. Also, pest problems and unfair security deposit practices that kept all my mother's security deposit after moving out, they unjustly kept the security ...deposit. We left due to no good living conditions, and we give them enough time 120 days stating we were moving out. We had bugs in our food and at night we had to wear mask so bugs would get in our mouth. The lack of care and professionalism from management and two coast living made this a frustrating and disappointing experience. They even sent my mother to collections and kept security deposit. I will show picture when we moved in and after. Also, have video of the place when we moved out. If you are considering renting here, be aware of these ongoing issues. Unfortunately horrible service
June 20, 2023There are many issues with the maintenance of this apartment and no matter how many requests are made the issues are never addressed. For over 2 months broken sprinklers are causing major foundation issues and water cacoroch on the exterior of apartments. A/C repair with electrical tape. Mold in the garage and outside trash service only when they want to pick up after your charge monthly and utilities high because unprofessional repairs not done correctly. March 1, 2021Please Save Yourself! There was mold (documented) in the air conditioning units, water stains on the ceiling and filth everywhere. The air conditioner never worked properly resulting in costing us $600 one month for electric. I was sick because of the mold as well as my ?! The management was just horrendous. Beware. Do not move here!!
January 27, 2021BEWARE_ I just moved out and wanted to move out a month into my lease. They have major plumbing issues. My commode overflowed weekly. There were stains on my ceiling from the overflowing sewage and they just painted over them without fixing the leak. In the summer my house was over 80 degrees from 10 am until 10 pm. In the summer I paid $500 plus in AC bills and it didn't even work I put in so many repair request that were ignored. This property is possibly run by slum lords and they take the ...money and do not invest it in the property. It is beautiful on the outside but the problems on the inside are vast. Do not move here!!! Plus I was told the manager has many friends who live here which may explain the positive reviews, not sure but I have dogs and when I spoke with the other tenants they experienced same issues as me. The 5 stars seem shady to me. In the summer time the shutters bend over in the heat...they are rubber not wood. Total Joke of an Establishment
December 13, 2020Heritage at Lakeside is by far the worst place I’ve ever lived. The staff is nonexistent, there are drainage issues all over the complex, and it’s very poorly kept. Gym hours are 8-6 only on weekdays making it unavailable to anyone who has a job. I wouldn’t pay anymore than $33 a month to live hereReview from Apartments.com

HORRIBLE STAY AWAY
March 20, 2017Do yourself a favor and stay far FAR away from this complex. The will charge you $700 for a carpet cleaning service after you move out on YOUR DIME. Disappointment!!
June 22, 2016I've had to deal with a lot of mold problems with all the water leaks I've had in my apartment. Manager will never help you. Expect her employees to come up with excuses for her. I have yet to see her help anyone. You can hear your neighbors every step. Beautiful from the outside but that's all.Review from Apartments.com
I DO NOT RECOMMEND HERITAGE AT LAKESIDE
March 24, 2016I lived here between August 2014 - October 2015. The apartments and grounds are nice. However, as of March 2016 I have yet to receive my security deposit refund. This is after sending two certified letters to the property owner, JRK Properties in Los Angeles. In addition, my neighbor was charged over $600.00 for unnecessary carpet replacement when she moved out. On top of that, within two weeks of her departure, she started receiving calls at work from I.Q. Data, a collection agency. Rather than ...fight the claim in small-claims court, she paid the bill in full. However, since a collection agency was involved, she is worried that her FICO score has been damaged. I recommend potential tenants google JRK Properties, JRK Residential, and I.Q. Data with regard to complaints, prior to signing any leasing agreement with Heritage at Lakeside.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Upscale and quiet.
July 25, 2015We just moved to Texas from California for a job and needed a rental until we could find a permanent home. Most of the homes we looked at were very outdated, especially the kitchen. We found this place online and were very impressed with this complex when we came to check it out. The people are friendly and the office is very nice. We like the large kitchen and dual walk-in closets in the master bedroom on the 3 bedroom unit. Also, the large garage is nice so we can store all of our stuff ...without having to get a storage space. So far, we have not heard any noise from our neighbors. There are reviews that the office staff is slow to respond to requests, but they have been very timely in responding to our needs.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
