Highlands at Heathbrook
January 31, 2018This apartment complex is in a great location, but comes with some serious flaws. In my experience, the management significantly raised rent prices when our lease was up. Also, be ready to expect excessive fees for having pets! Plan on a few hundred dollars for a deposit, pet rent every month, and being charged for cleaning fees when you move out. There are too many issues with parking (after about 8pm) and several community rules/guidelines that must be adhered to. I would NOT recommend living ...here if you are moving to the Ocala area. June 6, 2017When I was getting ready to move to Ocala from the Orlando area, Highlands was on my list. It was my favorite of all the ones I had seen on-line, but also the furthest from my job. When I went to Ocala to finally look at the ones I chose on line, Highlands was the 2nd one I looked at - and the last. I wasn't even completely in the front door of the 2/2 and I knew I had found my new home. The closet space was mind-blowing. I know homes that don't have that much closet space. Kathy, Sherri ...and Linda made things so easy to move. The maintenance staff was always awesome. They left notes stating what had been done and always cleaned up after themselves. As a single woman, I felt safe there. It was quiet and well lit. I was sad when I had to return to Orlando to care for a sick family member. If I ever make it back to the Ocala area, I will not hesitate to rent at Highlands. It will be my first stop.Property Manager Responded

September 21, 2015There is nothing like the comfort of home. Coming home to a Beautiful environment makes all the difference at the end of the day. At the Highlands at Heathbrook you have the Best of everything. Wonderful location, a Beautiful apartment with maintenance that is unsurpassed. They are there when you need them 24 hours a day. A gated community at night when you want to feel safe the most. Pets are welcome and treats are kept at The office for Canine visitors. The best amenities in Ocala. A tanning ...bed for the residents! Where else would you get that? A quiet beautiful place to call home. I feel lucky to have found the Highlands at the Heathbrook. August 14, 2015Very large, clean and well kept apartments. The grounds are beautiful with a lake, tennis courts, free tanning bed and playground. The over sized pool has a beautiful waterfall and plenty of sunbathing areas. The office staff is very friendly and extremely accommodating. August 2, 2015The square footage of the 3 bedroom unit is substantially smaller than the published size. Maintenance is also difficult to deal with unless you are willing to allow entry while no one is at home. You can request an "appointment" for a particular date but may not specify times and are not guaranteed they will show up. Appliances are older and not energy efficient.Review from Apartments.com
