I've been living in Hillendale Gates Apartment 15 years.(November 30, 2022) It has been a nightmare from hell. Different neighbors a few nextdoor were loud. Maintenance are not all that good. There's no security for your laundry. The door is left unlocked. My laundry was stolen. I reported to the Land Lord. ( Henderson and Webb) Nothing wasn't done about it. I've had a bad experience and I recommend not to choose this apartment complex. There are other locations that might not be as bad, but I'm ...

These apartments put you in mind of the projects with the dark windows. The only plus is the location. The leasing office does not care about their tenant’s. Why is the rent so high when there aren’t any amenities ? No wash and dryer hook up, dish washer, garbage disposal nothing. My mom needed a new refrigerator For months. Each time maintenance came they would half way fix it, but let her owe something on the rent they would know how to reach out. The weed smoke is treacherous like who smokes ...
in their home ? Trifling. Do not move here these are by far the worse apartments to live. Maintenance nor leasing does what they are supposed to. Please don’t waste your money here.

You have to know what your getting when you look at the price. Let’s start off with the area, it’s clean, safe and there are a lot of great places to eat in the area. This is my first time living on my own, I’m new to the area, from Virginia and I’m used to a certain type of an apartment. So my expectations might be a little out of reach, hence i brought up the price. That being said, it’s only been a month since I’ve been here and there were a few problems I ran into and I have not been here ...
long enough for these problems. My house was not equip for cable… the cable is not where you think the cable should be, it took 2 weeks for comcast to make my apartment internet ready. They had to punch a hole from the basement too my apartment where the furnace is and run the wire from there. I’m going to assume that is how the mouse had gotten into my apartment. I’m on the second floor so I wasn’t so sure how the mouse got into my apartment in the first place. The exterminator had come and They patched the hole up and I’m going to assume they made my house mouse free. Although, there was miscommunication on there end with what exactly they did to exterminate the problem. Secondly, every time i turned on my heat, it would blow cold air… maintenance came and fixed the problem and also brought me a portable heater in the mean time. Thirdly, I’m going to assume due too all of the rain we been having the last few days is why I saw a huge roach in my bathroom. My tub nor does my sink have a stopper to prevent this, this is still a problem they have yet to fix so now i have to put a bowl over the brains when I’m not home. Finally, every time I go into my kitchen i smell hints of gas. According to maintenance i don’t have a gas stove it’s electric so They’re assuming it’s impossible for me to be smelling gas… ok I’ll let them have that…. In conclusion, i really like my apartment outside of the early hiccups it’s really nice it’s clean and whenever I have a problem resident services is always there to attend to my needs.

Whenever I have a problem in my apt they are very prompt once you put in a request. Good example just a week or so my fridge was low on freon and had to throw away. Most of my food. Well they brought in a new fridge and paid for my groceries that had gone bad.

I have consistently run into problems with my apartment. Starting with the continuous overflowing of my toilet, the garbage disposal not functioning properly, mice and the overflow of the kitchen sink overnight. The price of the apartment is good but the issues outweigh the cost.

Pro’s: Private entrance and lower level
Cons: Mice and drain flies. Recently requested for holes to be filled and exterminator to come. Apparently, he came but I don’t have a clue what was done since I was at work and I’m still seeing mice. Also, drain flies issue has been going on the ENTIRE time. Also, along with half done jobs. Only been here just about three months and I’m completely disgusted with issues NOT being resolved. I’ve sent emails with my concerns and no response. There should be ...

I chose this apartment because my aunt lives here. Everytime I stayed I never had issues. I guess every apartment is different. My apartment is filled with little critters so I don’t suggest getting a lower level. It stays cool in the summer time though !
