You will never give your deposit back
April 29, 2025Overall our experience here was great. It’s a great place to live. Friendly people. But, when it’s time to move out they will make up anything to keep your deposit. Dust, lint on windows. We had scratch on the wall and they wanted to charge us for a gallon of paint. I wish we can insert pictures to show how our apartment was 1000 times better than when we first got it. She knew the apartment was spotless. Even had cleaners come to see only for them to say it will be a waste of money because it ...was perfect. I wonder if anyone ever got their money back! Pure Robbery. Keeping the pictures and contacting our lawyer. This wasn’t stated in the lease!Property Manager Responded

Consistent Manager and Maintenance Issues
March 6, 2025Manger lives on property and doesn’t follow apartment rules but loves to micromanage and make false claims without evidence. Then they threaten to get lawyers involved. Main maintenance man is rude and is known to make residents feel uncomfortable. The property is nice during the day because leaf blowing every weekday for hours which leaves nicks and scratches on your car from small rocks bouncing off of it.Property Manager Responded

Best apartment in El Cajon
February 17, 2025I had a great four years at Hunters Run Apartments! Hunters Run was my first rental experience, and Melissa and Dava made the experience great! Maintenance was always extremely quick to take care of any issues that I had. You can tell that there is extreme pride of ownership at Hunters Run Apartments. A Great Place to Call Home
April 13, 2024We've lived at Hunter's Run for about a year, and have nothing but praise to share. It all starts with Dava and Melissa - who have been so kind and attentive from the moment we began our apartment search through our recent lease renewal. Some highlights are that tenants are notified well in advance of unit/complex upgrades; maintenance requests are handled promptly and thoroughly; community areas are kept clean; and the landscaping is immaculate and well-maintained. Despite being off a main ...street, the complex feels safe and secure. Best Complex Ever!
April 8, 2024I am a retired veteran and have lived in many apartments over the last 20 years in different states. Hunter's Run Apartments is the cleanest, most well kept complex I have ever lived in. Dava, Melissa, and their team are kind, respectful and caring. All of my maintenance requests are handled promptly. The laundry facility, property and pool are always clean. The landscaping is maintained every week. I have found that many tenants have lived here over ten years, which says something to me. The ...location is very walkable as well. There is a Food 4 Less, Starbucks and Target all within a block. The application process and background check is thorough as well, and you can tell by the quality of tenants that management takes their time screening applicants. The property is safe, quiet and private. My neighbors are kind and quiet as well. I've lived here for 18+ months now, and have no desire to move!!Property Manager Responded

Family oriented, Peaceful, Great management
April 4, 2024I love Hunters Run for a few major reasons, the management is great, it’s a Peaceful environment and it feels like home with all the families that reside here. If there are any maintenance issues that arise, they are always handled immediately. The price is great too in comparison with local apartments. I travel a lot for long extended time periods, but when I return to SD, I always come back here because of all these great qualities.Property Manager Responded

Great Place to Live!
April 4, 2024I have been here almost two years and this has been a great living experience for me! Management is always supportive, support personnel are always timely and helpful. Terrible place to live
July 30, 2022The managers are rude and not helpful. The apartments are not safe and in a terrible area. No guest parking. Tons of fees. Lots of rules and staff is always in your business.Property Manager Responded

Not the best
July 7, 2020My husband rented a place here for about a year before we purchased our home. This is definitely more of a short term accommodation. If you are looking for an apartment to stay put for more than a year, you may want to look elsewhere. He had to return his in your laundry card before moving out and advised his landlord(s) that he had a money left on his laundry card expecting to be refunded. They told him there was no way for him to get his money back which seemed like a simple task to me - very ...odd. Maybe they need it themselves. The only good thing is that they allowed him to stay a few months after his lease ended without having to sign another year lease.Property Manager Responded

Best apartment in El Cajon to call home
December 14, 2019The property managers, Melissa and Dava are extremely nice and professional. They worked with me being a first time renter and made the whole process simple and easy. The property is always being maintained and cleaned on a daily basis. There is never any trash or mess on the property. The maintenance staff are very friendly as well and wave hello to me every day. The apartments are very clean and modern and a great value. Hunters Run is a great place to call home. 2.5 Years, and it was wonderful!
May 15, 2019I was a tenant here with my girlfriend at the time. We were there for a long time, and never had a single complaint. The staff and management were very kind and almost friends with me. They were welcoming and understanding of all concerns. They worked quickly and fast, and took care of the property, and made it a beautiful location in a rougher part of town. The apartment itself was brand-new and felt wonderful to live in. The cost was reasonable and management was understanding of all situations ...that befell me.
