IMT Ballantyne has a resident-retention problem disguised by a well-maintained property.
Tiffany, the Property Manager, is exceptional. She demonstrates professionalism, sound judgment, respect, and a clear understanding of resident relations. The maintenance team is equally outstanding—responsive, courteous, efficient, and consistently reliable. They represent the strongest aspects of this community.

Assistant Manager, demonstrates significant opportunities for improvement in professionalism, accountability, communication, and the handling of resident concerns. Interactions can feel dismissive rather than solution-focused, which is particularly concerning for a position entrusted with supporting residents and resolving escalated issues.
From a customer-experience perspective, the operational disconnect is obvious: substantial effort appears to be directed toward occupancy and new leasing activity, while resident retention and post-lease service receive inconsistent attention. That is not simply a customer-service gap—it is a leadership and quality-control issue.
At this price point, residents should not have to navigate inconsistent communication, selective responsiveness, or a culture where concerns appear to lose importance once a lease is secured. Premium pricing creates an expectation of consistent service delivery, not just attractive amenities and effective marketing.
Tiffany and the maintenance team demonstrate that high standards are achievable at this property. The fact that those standards are not consistently reflected across the resident-facing office experience suggests a need for stronger oversight, performance accountability, and customer-service expectations.
A luxury community should be evaluated not by how effectively it fills units, but by how professionally it treats residents after the lease is signed. On that measure, IMT Ballantyne has meaningful work to do.

Be very careful with this place, the people in the office will look for many ways to get your money, I left my apartment spotless and they even charged me for the coffee in the office. Be very careful, this is not a place I would recommend.

I have not currently moved (will be in Jan), but so far it has been an excellent experience and I look forward to moving.

Just relocated to Charlotte and living in IMT Ballantyne. Nothing but a positive experience every step of the way. From before I moved thru the application process to move in, office staff were available, helpful, and pleasant. Every aspect of my move was like clockwork. My apartment was spotless upon move in. I had a minor repair issue and maintenance is great. Timely response. Went above and beyond to fix the issue. Awesome place to live.

I do love this location. The staff is amazing and always there if there is an issue. My only complaint is the clubhouse closes at 5:30 daily. This leaves me so disappointed as I am not able to enjoy this amenity unless it’s the weekend. And even on the weekends, it closes at 5:30 which ruins plans if you want to have people over and enjoy the amenities. the clubhouse is great. I just wish I was able to enjoy it at all.

Great complex but thin walls

I have been living here for about 3 months and I love it here, except for my upstairs neighbors. The walls and ceilings are extremely thin, so you can hear everything above you. The office staff has been great with communication but these particular neighbors are inconsiderate. Other than that, the complex is beautiful and modern. I moved here because I wanted a quiet and safer neighborhood, which this is. I would recommend this complex to anyone!

New owners of the building are renovating our apartments built in 2017!
They seem professional and I even see changes with our old great leasing team! They are constantly on trainings these days.
Clubhouse, elevators etc. are much cleaner than before.
I wish only we could have Outdoor tennis/basketball court with the running track Around it for our teenage kids and their parents instead the place of existing dog park (just an idea).
And for pets better place farther than main road, closer to ...
the forest with fresh air.
I am grateful that we have Cozy playground but it is mostly for toddlers.
Great apartments with the amenities such as outdoor BBQ gathering places with more than 5 grills, Safe beautiful pool, spacious clubhouse with conference room and cinema room, business center with 2 Mac and printer (was always with no ink, but it’s fixable) place to groom pets. It is definitely Nice, luxury place to live, but we desperately need place where we can play tennis or basketball.
School ratings are high, for all elementary middle and high .
Wish all the best to our place we called home for the last 15 month and want to stay year or more longer.

So glad to call this place home! Not only do we get a pool, grills, gym, yoga studio, and clubhouse, but we also get the best staff I've ever met from an apartment complex! Not only are these apartments the nicest I've seen, but we've also got easy access to so many restaurants, shops, and things to do. We couldn't have picked a better place to be.
