Avoid Renting Here – Honest Experience from a Long-Term Tenant
August 23, 2025I moved into this apartment complex in July 2023 and stayed for two years. Unfortunately, my experience has been overwhelmingly negative. I should have trusted the negative reviews I saw on Google—they were accurate. Management is extremely money-driven. They will overcharge you, especially when it comes time to move out. During my lease, I went two full months without air conditioning during summer, and maintenance never responded in a timely manner. When I withheld rent to try to get them to ...address it, they charged me a $600 “reinstatement fee,” followed by another $270 the next month. They credited it back eventually, but the stress wasn’t worth it. Winters aren’t much better. They don’t shovel the snow, leaving residents to fend for themselves. If you’re planning to move out, be warned: they require at least two months’ notice. Otherwise, you may be forced to pay up to three months’ rent just to leave. I gave proper notice and even had maintenance replace the blinds before I moved—because I knew they'd try to deduct 9signing a lease here. Do not rent here
February 5, 2020My experience at Jersey Meadows was terrible. My neighbor and her kids were extremely loud at all hours, you could hear right through the walls. It was nice that they allowed dogs, but many residents don’t leash their dogs and dog poop ends up in everyone’s yards. If the poop isn’t picked up you get fined $200 (regardless of if it’s your pets, just if it’s in your yard). The apartment was spacious, but low quality and definitely overpriced for what it was. The bathroom shower squeaked terribly, ...the temperature thermostat was difficult to control, and my front door leaked when it rained causing standing water in my entryway. Maintenance was not great. It took multiple requests and “solutions” to finally get my front door to stop leaking. My car was also broken into while parked in the resident parking area. Due to personal things along with my experience living here, I terminated my lease early. This was ridiculously expensive and I was charged absurd amounts for the minimal damage to the apartment due to my dog (two small sections of flooring that were damaged by my dog). When I contacted them questioning the damages charges, nobody was really able to explain why it was so expensive other than that they replaced all of the flooring in the apartment due to the “excessive pet damage”. Extremely poor maintenance issue response
December 29, 2019We had 2 main issues living here. The first was my wife being misled regarding the pet policy during the showing of the apartment. The 2nd and most major was an ongoing maintenance issue (our apartment would flood everytime it rained). After reporting this multiple times, and with multiple ineffective attempts to remedy this issue, we moved out before our lease was up citing this as a reason and advising them that mold would probably be an issue in the apartment due to the repeated flooding. ...They took no action until our official move out date (almost 2 months later) and then charged us for the mold that had grown on the carpet. Just Don't
July 23, 2018We went to the office to try to transfer to a different apartment because our upstairs neighbor loves to look in our window at night. Not only were we told that WE had to pay $500 to not be harassed, but not two weeks later we got an eviction notice for our grill (read your lease VERY carefully.) If you want an apartment where stalking is okay but a charcoal grill isn't, here you go.Property Manager Responded
