The best neighborhoods to travel by foot or wheel is in the renovated Downtown area, the Southwest Gateway, and along the Gold Coast. Mass transit options include the Quad City International Airport across the Mississippi and a Citibus service that operates within Davenport limits. There is currently no Amtrak station in the city.

Interstates 80, 280, and 74 border the city to the west, north, and east. US Business Route 64 follows the winding Mississippi River to the south, connecting to Route 61 headed north through the center of town. The wide variety of highway and interstate options allow for quick commutes with limited traffic exposure on a normal day.

The Quad-City Times, The Dispatch/Rock Island Argus, and a free publication called The River Cities’ Reader deliver daily news to the people of Davenport. Four major television networks (KWQC, KLJB, WHBF, and WQAD) broadcast from NBC, FOX, CBS, and ABC respectively. The local historic WOC radio station is the second licensed station to go broadcast live on-air.
