Renters Reviews and Ratings
Nice place, but a major security problem
January 14, 2020 - Review from Apartments.comI've lived at Southpark Apartments for about a year and a half, and I've enjoyed it here. The management is very responsive attending to repairs. The one major drawback is the lack of security. On or around January 1, 2020, someone broke into the rent deposit lock box and stole my cashier's check for the rent! Per my bank, the thief cashed it on the 2nd. I'm angry and filled with rage.
Highly recommend to stay away
April 3, 2019 - Review from Apartments.comI lived here from Jan 2018-Jan 2019. The first building manager was horrendous. I signed with someone who wasn't even the building manager causing huge problems in my first month there. She had prorated me an estimate of about $300 for moving in earlier and not only was I told to pay over $500, but I also got a notice of eviction on my door within the first week of living there. Then when actually dealing with the building manager well that was a whole other issue. He had changed the building ...keys with less than a 24 hour notice causing me to be locked out of the building until buzzing myself in through the front of the building rather than from the parking lot. On father's day some kid hair spray painted vulgar images all over cars and the back alley parking lot and the building manager wasn't helpful until hours later. One of the biggest issues I had was the garbage truck. They are there in the alley at the very least twice a day EVERY DAY during the week around 6:30 am and 7:30 am. I called the trash company to understand why this happens and they said our building could get a different trash system to lower cost and pick ups. When I let the manager know he did nothing. Speaking of additional costs don't believe your rent amount. Or more like add $100 to that because that's how much additional costs are. Then before the summer I made sure to reach out about my broken ac which didn't get resolved until mannnyyy weeks later and the resolve was adding this huge tube in my window until the guy could fix it which took over a week. Now keep in mind I did my best to communicate with the office and whichever new building manager was in charge that week. In this location they switch building managers so much without a heads up so it's really hard to communicate anything. When I finally decided to move because a year was way too long I had discovered that homeless people had begun to live in the parking spaces in the back alley. So if you weren't perturbed about anything I mentioned earlier ... maybe the homeless people in the alley or the ones that find their way into the building would be enough for you to be smart and stay away. Good luck in your search and steer clear of any South Park managed buildings.Read MoreProperty Manager Responded

Very helpful & knowledgable
November 4, 2018 - Review from Apartments.comI've lived in Sherman Oaks for 20 years. I needed to move out of my place and found South Park Apartments. When I called over at the apartment community they were really helpful in telling me about their availability.
