Not worth your money

I lived here for a year, and moved out right after my lease was up. The downstairs neighbor always complained of noise when I wasn’t even home. Parking is terrible. The laundry sucks. The younger tenants throw parties and have fights in the hall and the super doesn’t care. There’s a fee for everything. Have a problem that’s not your fault? $35. The landlord is extremely annoying, always having notices slid under your door with a new list of rules. There is definitely a centipede problem that no ...

My husband and I have been tenants at Karen Gardens for almost a year and couldn't be happier. Our newly renovated apartment is bright, spacious and beautifully appointed. We had our heart set on Montclair, as we both commute to NY every day for work. However, after months of looking at so many tiny, old, dingy apartments in our budget there, we were delighted to find Karen Gardens. For the same money, we have a beautiful new apartment just minutes from Montclair, within walking distance to ...
Brookdale Park and great restaurants, with a NYC bus stop at our front door. Onsite parking and laundry are also pluses. The super is so attentive and the building and grounds are kept immaculate. The management is extremely professional and responsive. We will certainly be renewing our lease when it is up.
