Get great insurance if you live here
June 16, 2024We had a good run here for 10 months, though the apartments are pretty run-down and you can tell they give it the good ol' "Landlord Special" of painting over vents and electrical outlets, broken flooring, and poor insulation. Then the sewage came. Apparently whatever construction crew they hired broke a sewage line that flooded with gravel and our apartment got flooded with sewage. We called it in immediately, they sent out someone with a wet vac who did his best but it was (literally) ...throwing paper towels on pouring water. They called a plumber who could not fix the issue. They told the plumber our water line was in the basement. We don't have a basement. We had to flee the apartment that night, and now have to stay with family. When I came back the next day, sewage was still flooding the place and was even worse than before. $4000 of furniture, completely ruined. The renter's insurance they offer is a joke. Nothing is covered since it wasn't the tenants who caused it. If WE had broken the sewer line, we would have been covered. The options given to us were to move to another apartment (their maintenance team would move our things out of the apartment, but not help us move anything in), stay in the apartment while they fixed it (apartment is not safe to live in) or break our lease for free (the obvious choice). It was nice of them to break the lease I guess, but now we are out $4k, almost everything we own, and told to kick rocks. The apartment is listed on the website now, available in 2 weeks (1253BO). No idea how they plan to get it ready to rent in 2 weeks, as the floors and walls were soaking in sewage for at least 48 hours and need to be gutted. Our neighbors had it even worse as according to them, they were out of town and nobody bothered to call them to let them know. They just came home to everything ruined. So, unless you enjoy having your home and your family heirlooms destroyed due to incompetency with no recourse, I would STRONGLY stay away.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
totally misleading
October 3, 2021the pictures are NOT what they actually have. maybe some units look like that, but probably not the one you’ll be touring or living in. extremely run down and dingy. no lighting whatsoever in the bedrooms. and extremely overpriced for how dated and dank these apartments are. i was so disappointed that we drove so far just to waste our time.Property Manager Responded

Love living here
April 6, 2021I've lived at Kirkwood Bluffs for 7 years and loved it! They recently renovated the midrise building that sits on top of the hill overlooking the Meramec River. The views are spectacular, the leasing and maintenance staff are very friendly, and the value for the rent I pay is great. Highly recommend.Property Manager Responded

Great place to live with friendly staff in a safe area!
June 7, 2017For the past two years, I have resided at Kirkwood Bluffs Apartments, the complex located in Kirkwood, MO. They are pet friendly and General Manager Donna and the staff are super helpful and friendly. There's an on site pool, two fitness centers and the grounds are well taken care of. It's definitely a safe place for anyone to live. I have never had one issue the entire time I have lived here. Kirkwood Bluffs is a mix of young professionals like myself, seniors and families. The apartments are ...settled in a nicely shaded and serine area, which can be enjoyed on the large and spacious balconies. I have been happy to call Kirkwood Bluffs apartments home these past two years, and it pains me to leave. The worst
April 9, 2016I lived here for a year. Do not live here. Seriously. The apartments aren't that nice. Maintenance was terrible(left messes in my apartment, which they cleaned up with MY towels, let themselves in, even though I indicated several times they were never to be in my home without me there, etc), office staff is awful and refuses to admit their faults, charged me for pet damage (at check out) when I never had a pet, and charged me an extra $700 upon check out without cause (and flat refused to walk ...through the apartment with me to assess anything we'd be charged for, which I thought was normal, standard procedure).
